In a few weeks, Marvel fans will have a brand-new way to experience Guardians of the Galaxy; this time, it's not on the big screen or on Disney+. Set to open at Walt Disney World's EPCOT on May 27, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a new indoor roller coaster featuring Star-Lord, Groot, Rocket, and the rest of the gang; but this time, fans are a part of the adventure.

The story behind Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is that the Celestial Eson is behind "space and time rewinding." Park guests visiting the theme park's Wonders of Xandar pavilion are then pulled into the fight via a rotating roller coaster which features a reverse launch.

While Disney has released a 15-second trailer for the attraction and a few other details and reveals, little of the ride experience itself has been revealed. That is, until now.

“What’s the matter with you kids? You never seen a spaceship before?”

Disney released a new official teaser for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind offering first looks at Eson in action, the onboard ride experience, and Rocket and Groot.

The video begins with an exterior nighttime shot of the Wonders of Xandar pavilion with a full-size Starblaster parked just outside, just before cutting to the indoor Galaxarium. This planetarium-style feature is part of the ride's main queue and is reported to showcase various planets familiar to Terra (Earth) and Xandar.

The trailer then shows Rocket and, interestingly enough, adult Groot. This is due to the fact that Disney's MCU-based theme park lands and attractions exist within their universe and are separate from the MCU.

One of the most interesting shots is a quick glimpse at Eson, who appears to be in possession of an Infinity Stone. This is followed by a look at the coaster's launch tunnel, Peter Quill's Benatar evading Eson's reach before heading through a jump point, and then one last tease of the coaster's onboard experience.

The full trailer can be seen below:

Not Your Typical Heroes, Not Your Typical Roller Coaster

"Ain't no thing like me, 'cept me."

One thing that this trailer failed to show is the ride's soundtrack. In keeping with the spirit of the Guardians, this theme park coaster has its own Star-Lord-approved "Awesome Mix" specifically chosen to best fit the ride experience and its onboard sound system.

This is actually similar to Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission - BREAKOUT! at Disney California Adventure's Avengers Campus, as guests don't know which tune they will hear during their ride.

It also looks like MCU fans will get to experience what it's like to pass through a jump point, take in the scale of a Celestial, and fly around with the Benatar. This is all due to the fact that Cosmic Rewind is intended to be a storytelling coaster with the ability to rotate to face select show scenes and plot points.

Now, the fact that the trailer only showed Rocket and Groot suggests that the two are likely the leading characters of this particular story. This footage might also be part of the pre-show presentation.

However, fans should still expect to see Chris Pratt's Peter Quill, Zoe Saldana's Gamora, and Dave Bautista's Drax at some point, especially since James Gunn filmed footage of the cast for Cosmic Rewind while on the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Overall, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind isn't just your typical roller coaster, but rather a way for MCU fans to live out their own Guardians of the Galaxy adventure.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opens at Walt Disney World on May 27.
