Marvel Studios is in the final stages of preparation for the release of its second project of the MCU's Phase 4, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, with its first episode premiering on March 19. The promotional tour for this series is following right in the footsteps of WandaVision from earlier in the year, and by all accounts, Marvel is just getting started with bringing excellent new content to the world.

Since the MCU began nearly thirteen years ago, Marvel Studios has found a way to consistently deliver top-notch quality material that is well-received not only by fans but by critics as well, this is especially has been the case in recent years. Phase 4 is taking this trend to new even higher levels thanks to WandaVision finishing its run with an astounding 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with three individual episodes earning a perfect 100% score.

On the eve of Marvel Studios' next release, fans seem to know exactly what to expect in Phase 4 thanks to the site's latest results.

ROTTEN TOMATOES FLYING HIGH ON THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER

Rotten Tomatoes has officially released its critic approval rating for Marvel Studios' The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on the eve of its debut on Disney+, coming in at 96% overall. This currently puts the MCU's sophomore Disney+ entry in a tie with the MCU's highest-rated release, 2018's Black Panther.

For perspective, the approval scores for the MCU's previous 24 projects are below:

1.) Black Panther - 96%
2.) Avengers: Endgame - 94%
3.) Iron Man - 94%

MARVEL SETTING A HIGH BAR ONCE AGAIN

The impeccable scores on Rotten Tomatoes are quickly becoming a trend once again for Marvel Studios early into Phase 4. However, fans shouldn't expect this specific score to last for the show's entire six-week run.

WandaVision initially debuted to an even higher score of 97% before its arrival, and it finished off at 91% overall, which is still good for a top 10 placement in the MCU for Rotten Tomatoes. That being said, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has a good chance of following that same trajectory if it stays close to this first score, which is a fantastic sign for its imminent future.

Early reviews are already praising Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan's solo series for its action and drama in the first episode. Even with no early signs of what's coming in "Episode 2" and beyond, the MCU fandom is already on the edge of its collective seat for more information on Sam and Bucky's next adventure. This initial score on Rotten Tomatoes only intensifies that hype further.

The debut episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will arrive on Disney+ on March 19, 2021.
