Spider-Man: No Way Home delivered a rare moment when the film united all three Spider-Men from different generations. Directed by Jon Watts, the MCU movie pushed the Multiverse to the forefront by bringing back villains from past Spider-Man films, such as Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin and Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus. However, the big surprise came when Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's web crawlers entered the scene to aid Tom Holland's MCU hero.

Maguire and Garfield's involvement in No Way Home revived conversations about which Spider-Man stands out the most. The topic dominated social media throughout the film's theatrical run, thus leaving fans to comment on their respective picks.

The conversation even branched out to which Spider-Man movie is the best, thus leading to more discussion online. Now, a Marvel actor has been prompted to join the debate.

Charlie Cox Can't Choose Which Spider-Man Is the Best

Daredevil actor Charlie Cox served as a guest at the 10th edition of the Middle East Film and Comic Con event in Abu Dhabi.

During the event, Cox was asked which Spider-Man is the best for him. The Marvel actor first admitted that he couldn't answer the question, citing the fact that he is best friends with Andrew Garfield.

However, Cox still offered praise for all three Spider-Man actors, saying that they "bring something incredible" to the role:

“I’m sorry. I can’t answer that. Andrew [Garfield] is one of my best friends. Look, Tobey [Maguire]’s the original, Andrew is one of the greatest actors of the generation and one of my best friends, and Tom [Holland] is the right age. Do you know what I mean? Like with all due respect to the other grandpas, he has [a] youthful energy, and his naivety and his excitement is like, ‘yes!’ Do you know what I mean? All three of them bring something incredible to that role. So, good question.”

Cox's response was shared by Reddit user u/theeshivy.

The Spider-Man Debate Continues

Many see Charlie Cox's latest response about the Spider-Man debate as the safest answer. If Cox chooses one Spider-Man actor, it's likely that Marvel fans will have strong opinions about his pick, thus fueling even more discussion about the matter.

Cox's brief breakdown of what makes each Spider-man actor unique to one another should serve as a fitting reminder that a debate is not always needed in order to appreciate an iconic character.

Before No Way Home, it's reasonable to assume that no one thought that all three Spider-Men would unite in one film. However, this all changed when the threequel was released, thus giving fans a closer look at the different portrayals from Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland.

At this point, it is unknown if the three Spider-Men will ever reunite once more in a future project, but it looks like the Spider-Man debate will continue to live on, with No Way Home adding more fuel to the fire.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is still playing in theaters worldwide.
