After nearly two years of internet-breaking teases and one of the wildest promotional tours in MCU history, fans worldwide are flocking to theaters for the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Taking into account how much hype this release has built thanks to leaked news and interviews with the cast and crew, the threequel is becoming the biggest movie event of the year.

Following the release of No Way Home, Spider-Man fans still have plenty of web-slinger content to look forward to in the coming years, particularly within the MCU. Even after already having six appearances under his belt, the character is confirmed to have as many as three new solo movies in development, including a Spider-Man 4 that’s already being worked on at this very moment.

As fans worldwide continue to take in the story that Marvel and Sony delivered in No Way Home, questions begin forming about what could be on the way in future Spider-Man solo flicks. Thankfully, the heads of both studios recently gave an exciting update on that front.

In an interview with the New York Times, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and Sony executive Amy Pascal teased what's coming with the MCU's fourth solo Spider-Man movie.

When asked about Sony and Disney's working relationship, Pascal expressed hope that the two studios will continue working together on major projects for the foreseeable future:

"We’re producers, so we always believe everything will work out. I love working with Kevin. We have a great partnership, along with Tom Rothman, who runs Sony and has been instrumental, a great leader with great ideas. I hope it lasts forever."

Feige then shared an exciting update, confirming that the producers are "actively beginning to develop where the story heads" for Spider-Man 4:

"Amy and I and Disney and Sony are talking about — yes, we’re actively beginning to develop where the story heads next, which I only say outright because I don’t want fans to go through any separation trauma like what happened after “Far From Home” [the previous Spider-Man movie, in 2019]. That will not be occurring this time."

Pascal also teased that the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home will have a major impact on what comes in future movies, specifically since it gives the two studios "a lot to work with" moving forward:

"At the end of the movie we just made, you see Spider-Man make a momentous decision, one that you’ve never seen him make before. It’s a sacrifice. And that gives us a lot to work with for the next film."

Feige and Pascal Have Spider-Man 4 Stories Brewing

Fans are currently learning just how big of an event Spider-Man: No Way Home truly is, all while making sure spoilers from that movie don't leak out onto the internet by any means necessary. While this is happening for viewers, Feige and Pascal already appear to be hard at work making sure Spidey's story continues in the most exciting way possible.

As indicated by the fact that there are three more Spider-Man solo movies planned for the future, Sony and Marvel's relationship appears to be rock solid. Considering this duo nearly broke up over rights issues after the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home, it's an impressive feat for Spider-Man 4 to be this far in development already.

With the MCU having delivered solo Spider-Man movies every two years since 2017, there's a chance that Spider-Man 4 could come to full fruition sometime in 2023 or possibly 2024. No matter when that happens, there will be plenty of Spider-Mania within the MCU to look forward to in a short amount of time.

For now, Spider-Man: No Way Home is now playing in theaters worldwide.
