Via a new release from Just Jared , four new photos of Kamala Khan actress Iman Vellani alongside co-star Matt Lintz were released from the shoot for Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel . The photos show Vellani in what appears to be a homemade costume resembling that of Captain Marvel’s from Avengers: Endgame. The actress can be seen on wires as she climbs up to a rooftop.

WHAT THIS MEANS

This is an absolutely monumental day for the production of Ms. Marvel , especially when it comes to bringing excitement to the fans. Iman Vellani appears to be filling this role better than expected, and even though there’s no way to decipher any plot details, some of the pictures look like they came straight out of Kamala’s comic run.

There are also notable connections to Captain Marvel, which have been teased all summer thanks to Kamala’s potential appearance in Carol Danvers’ 2022 sequel. Fans are hoping that the interconnectivity between the Disney+ shows and the movies will be a two-way street, but even outside of that, this series should be something truly special standing on its own.

Ms. Marvel is currently in the early stages of filming as it prepares for release on Disney+ in 2022.
