The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a feat unlike any other in cinema over the last couple of decades. The idea of an interconnected canon across multiple franchises didn't seem possible before The Avengers, yet, not only was it pulled off, but it blossomed into something nobody could have ever dreamed of. Of course, multiple people had a role to play in making all of this happen, but there was one who stands above the rest: Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.
The man will go down as one of the most impactful producers in film history, and he doesn't look likely to slow down any time soon. In fact, another Marvel Studios project has just started its marketing campaign in the form of Thor: Love and Thunder, whose first teaser trailer was just released.
The figure behind the MCU has his hand in so many immensely successful properties that one has to wonder what his vast collection of memorabilia may look like, given all the movies and series Feige has been involved in. Well, now a new picture of a sliver of his office gives a small look at some of his most cherished items from his long tenure at Marvel Studios.
New Glimpse of Kevin Feige's Office
As Thor: Love and Thunder's marketing starts up, Disney exec Asad Ayaz shared a glimpse inside the office of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige located on the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, CA.
In the new image, several items of note can be seen. First is a foldable chair with Feige's name on the back, likely used on the various sets he visits. Then there's a life size bust of Iron Man's Mark III helmet, signed by Robert Downey Jr. himself. On top of it lies an Infinity War hat, with an Ant-Man helmet stacked on it.
Hanging on the coat rack is a hoodie with the entire Infinity Saga listed in the same vein that a band's tour shirt would look like. Then, finally, to the left is a massive statue of the very first Iron Man suit.
The caption of the photo reads:
"The awesome office of Kevin Feige on this momentous Thor: Love And Thunder campaign launch day #Marvel Studios."
Through the Lens of a Disney Exec
The amount of projects Kevin Feige has to oversee is nothing short of incredible. It's a miracle that the man can ever actually get a good night's rest—assuming he ever does.
When it comes to all the knick-knacks seen in the video, they all seem pretty well picked—particularly the baseball cap; it wouldn't be Feige without one. Iron Man's presence is also fitting, given how the entire MCU started and how the Infinity Saga ended in 2019.
All that said, it's hard to look past the glaring absence of a life-size Infinity Gaunlet replica. Maybe it's behind the camera? No doubt Josh Brolin would be a little disappointed by its absence.
When it comes to the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, what holy grail will be added to Feige's collection? A life-size replica of Kang the Conqueror's throne? Maybe Doctor Doom's helmet? Only time will tell.
Marvel Studios' next project, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, releases on May 6, and Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters on June 8.
