Marvel Teases Dora Milaje's Future In Falcon and Winter Soldier With Wakanda Featurette

Falcon and Winter Soldier Wakanda Dora Milaje

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is gearing up for an explosive finale, and it seems that every character that has been introduced so far will play a part in it. The hit Marvel series started out by showcasing the separate lives of Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes in a post-Blip world, but the two Avengers reunited due to the threat of the Flag Smashers. They also have to address the government's choice of naming a new Captain America in the form of John Walker .

The mission seemed easy at first, but the fact that the Flag Smashers became super soldiers made it complicated for the titular pair. Given that the duo needed to be creative, they (mostly Bucky) were forced to work with Zemo to seek out the main supplier of the serum, which was later revealed to be the Power Broker .

The problem didn't stop there since Zemo's escape from jail angered the Wakandans, ultimately leading to the arrival of the Dora Milaje to bring the villain to justice. The fourth episode entitled “The Whole World is Watching” revealed that the Sokovian fugitive escaped, but it looks like the Dora Milaje will not stop to bring him in.

Now, a new featurette may have teased the possible appearance of the Wakandas in the final two episodes.

Marvel Studios officially released a brand-new featurette for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier , showcasing a fresh look at the Dora Milaje's MCU return led by Florence Kasumba's Ayo.

In the featurette, Anthony Mackie started off by saying that he didn't know what to expect when the Dora Milaje arrived in the Marvel series. Sebastian Stan chimed in by sharing that “there's something magical about it all.”

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier director Kari Skogland admitted that the arrival of the Dora Milaje “brought so much to the party.” Meanwhile, Kasumba playfully said that the characters “don't know how many are around” whenever her group shows up.

Skogland then revealed that John Walker's fight against the Dora Milaje was the turning point of the character's arc, pointing out that his vulnerability was exposed in that battle. Wyatt Russell admitted that the decision to take the Super Soldier Serum was “crushing,” seemingly hinting that this plot point will be further explored in the final two episodes.

Lastly, Kasumba expressed her excitement to see the final outcome of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier while Skogland may have teased the inclusion of the Wakandan characters by saying that she can't spoil anything about it.

DORA MILAJE VS. ZEMO IN THE MCU SHOW'S FINALE?

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has a lot of plot threads to resolve, and this featurette could tease that the Zemo bit of it all will be addressed by Wakanda's Dora Milaje. It makes narrative sense for the series to showcase a showdown between Zemo and the Dora Milaje, and it will be interesting to see how it unfolds in the coming episodes.

It was established that Zemo has tricks up his sleeve, thus making it difficult for Ayo's troops to search for him. Still, Wakanda's vast amount of resources should prove useful in terms of tracking down the notorious Sokovian.

Mackie and Stan's comments established that the surprise inclusion of the Dora Milaje worked wonders for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier . Skogland's tease, meanwhile, could point to the heartbreaking resolution of John Walker's arc while also hinting at the Wakandans' involvement at the tail-end of the series.

It's no secret that Bucky's relationship with Wakanda was affected when he decided to break Zemo out of prison. Given his close ties to Ayo, it's reasonable to assume that a conversation between the two allies will be featured in the final episodes to properly address the situation on hand.

From Captain America's legacy to Zemo's conflict against Wakanda, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is poised to deliver two compelling episodes that could very well define a good chunk of the MCU's future.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is now streaming on Disney+.
