As the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League draws ever closer, hype continues to grow.

On the build-up to the highly anticipated release, Snyder and Warner Bros. have published a substantial amount of promotional material including a slew of new screenshots . Everything fans have been shown from the cut so far paints the picture of a totally different film, packed with a much more expansive amount DC lore.

The stylistic choices of the project have been a huge part of the marketing for the film as many of the stills released have been showcased in a classic black-and-white fashion. Meanwhile, all the trailers are shown in a much more old-fashioned square aspect ratio that the movie itself will be shown in when it drops on HBO Max next month.

Snyder has made it clear these choices are a big part of how the director originally envisioned the film to be back in 2017. However, the director sadly had to leave his vision behind just a few months before release as he departed the film following the death of his daughter.

Now that Snyder has returned to the film, he has proven his fondness to create the film he originally intended to, even forgoing a salary for it. As the release draws closer, yet another batch of images has surfaced on social media that continues to show off more of the film's heroes.

The image of the suited-up Affleck is captioned with a touching quote from Snyder regarding his daughter's sudden tragic death saying: “It's such a lightning strike in the center of this whole saga. It has informed everything we've done since.”

An additional image was released of Ray Fisher's Cyborg, also believed to be from the filmed Knightmare sequence. The actor is shown in a simple outfit that appears to be inspired by Cyborg's traditional heroic look.

BATMAN'S NEXT KNIGHTMARE

The iconic Knightmare sequence was one of the most memorable moments of Batman V Superman as it showcased a tease for a future that will finally be explored in Snyder's cut of Justice League .

It's unclear the exact specifics of the newest vision that Batman will experience in the film. The new sequence will seemingly involve quite a few characters as it appears to be one of a few new scenes filmed for the new cut of the film, indicating it plays a key part in Snyder's story.

Jared Leto will be reprising his role as the Joker from Suicide Squad for the sequence, marking the actor's second live-action appearance in the role. Ben Affleck's Batman has yet to have much interaction with the Joker in the DCEU so it will be interesting to finally see the relationship between the two.

The recently released trailer also suggested the same scene will involve Cyborg in some capacity as the character can be seen in the background, likely suggesting this new shot comes from around the same point in the film.
