As Warner Bros. continues to expand its DC universe, an increasing reliance is being placed on the HBO Max streaming service.

The production giant is currently in the works on multiple live-action DC series exclusively for the service, set to tie directly into DCEU films. Meanwhile, for the first time, the studio will also release all its films on the service on the same day as theaters due to COVID-19 restrictions preventing theater access in some places.

However, a big problem exists with this. HBO Max is only available in U.S territories, so these upcoming series' and films arguably have no homes regarding international releases

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the HBO Max release of Zack Snyder's Justice League for some time now, but release plans for international markets have continued to be unclear, until now...

Following widespread speculation as to how Zack Snyder's Justice League will release in international markets, Snyder has confirmed the official plans for a same-day release in all markets.

Zack Snyder's Justice League will be available in all worldwide markets on March 18, the same day as the U.S. The form of the release will vary by region across “on-demand, digital download, linear, or streaming.”

Snyder's full tweet — which also showcases a brief portion of new Batman footage from the film — can be seen below:

The platform of the release will vary by region, however, several countries, including China, France, and Japan, have not set official release dates. Specific details of each region's release form will be published at a later date.

WHERE WILL ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE RELEASE FOR YOU?

As the upcoming re-release of DC's 2017 flop is such a highly anticipated release, bidding for the release in international markets is sure to have been competitive.

The uncertain release dates for a limited number of regions likely indicate deals have yet to be struck for those territories, potentially suggesting deals are already in place for the rest of the world. Various streaming giants are likely to confirm specific details of release plans in specific regions in the coming days and weeks.

Snyder's wording seems to imply some territories will be able to stream the film across existing subscription services. In many regions of Europe, DC's last film, Wonder Woman 1984, was released on video-on-demand and rental, a format that will likely be taken in many parts of the world.

Zack Snyder's Justice League will release exclusively on HBO Max on March 18, 2021, with details of international release plans to follow.
