The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is currently taking the internet by storm, which isn't surprising after its successful debut on Disney+. Serving as the second MCU entry in the franchise's Phase 4 slate, the limited series explores the post- Endgame life of Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes , and they will soon be joined by returning characters like Emily VanCamp's Sharon Carter and Daniel Bruhl's Zemo.

So far, the first episode showcased Sam and Bucky's dilemma of catching up after being erased from existence by Thanos for five years. On top of that, story beats such as Captain America's legacy were also pushed to the forefront in the show's debut, a fitting glimpse of what's to come for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier .

Now, another tease from the promotional materials of the Marvel series has emerged, seemingly hinting that the show will do a deep dive into an important aspect of Bucky Barnes.

AN INSIDE LOOK AT BUCKY'S VIBRANIUM ARM

The latest promo spot for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier included a major tease regarding Bucky Barnes' vibranium arm.

A blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment from the promo shows Bucky's arm detached from its socket, revealing the Wakanda tech located inside of Bucky's shoulder.

The teaser then shifted to a scene where Bucky points out that he has a vibranium arm while Sam claps back to say that he can fly.

THE SECRETS OF BUCKY'S WAKANDA TECH-INFUSED ARM

Based on this reveal, it's safe to say that the secrets and backstory of Bucky's vibranium arm will finally be explored in some form. The character debuted during 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier , but details about his metal arm haven't been fully explored ever since. With Bucky getting a larger on-screen presence in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier , it's only fitting that the show will expand on the character's mythos, starting off with this mysterious body part.

To recap. Bucky's original vibranium arm was destroyed by Iron Man during 2016's Captain America: Civil War, and it was later replaced by an upgraded one from Shuri during Avengers: Infinity War . Bucky obtained the arm right before Thanos attacked Wakanda, meaning that the character wasn't given much time to explore his new upgrade.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is poised to give much-needed answers about Bucky's vibranium arm, and this latest piece of evidence suggests that some upgrades from Wakanda will be put to good use in the show.

Interestingly, in an interview back in 2019, Sebastian Stan actually pointed out that certain unseen features of Bucky's vibranium arm would be showcased in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, sharing that he misses “the old star” from the previous one. On top of the upgrades, this could hint that the design of this Wakandan-themed body part will receive an overhaul by the end of the series, potentially returning to its old form to pay homage to its comic-accurate look.

Whatever the case, Bucky's new upgrade will certainly help in the fight against the Flag Smashers and Zemo in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier , and it will be interesting to find out how it will unfold over the course of the series.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is now streaming on Disney+.
