Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is the 25th theatrical installment of the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe and the second film of the franchise's Phase 4 slate.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the title is Marvel Studios' first foray into the realm of martial arts and will star Simu Liu as the titular Master of Kung Fu. Liu will be joined by a stacked Asian cast which includes Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Ronny Chieng, Dallas Liu, and Meng'er Zhang.
Given that Shang-Chi is set within the confines of the MCU, there are high hopes that cameos from other characters from other Marvel properties will show up.
Marvel didn't waste time in confirming several guest stars for Shang-Chi due to the fact that the official trailer of the film showcased the return of two major characters, namely Wong from the Doctor Strange franchise and Tim Roth's Abomination from 2008's The Incredible Hulk.
Plot details of the pair's inclusion in Shang-Chi's narrative are still being kept under wraps, but marketing for the film has already revealed that Abomination will show off an upgraded design in his comeback. Wong's involvement is still shrouded in secrecy as well, but Benedict Wong has already expressed his excitement about his return.
Now, another preview of the duel between the two MCU heavyweights has been revealed in a new promo.
WONG STRIKES BACK AGAINST ABOMINATION
Twitter user @insummer_b shared a key moment from one of the promos of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, showcasing new footage of the tournament fight between Doctor Strange's Wong and The Incredible Hulk's Abomination.
In the video, it shows Abomination charging towards Wong for a punch, but the sorcerer manages to outwit his opponent by unleashing two portals so that the punch will be redirected back to the Hulk villain.

WONG'S MAGIC VS. ABOMINATION'S BRUTE FORCE
It remains to be seen how Wong and Abomination end up fighting each other in Shang-Chi's tournament, but this new preview suggests that the pair will go all-out when squaring off against one another.
The first footage of the fight between the two characters showed Abomination manhandling Wong, throwing him off the steel cage.
Based on what's been revealed, it looks like Wong will try to outsmart Abomination in their battle, similar to how he was able to evade Cull Obsidian from Avengers: Infinity War. This makes perfect sense, considering that the sorcerer will never match the brute strength of the Hulk villain.
It is unknown if the upgraded design of Abomination also produced newfound abilities for the villain, but it seems that the fins around his head could serve as added protection against potential threats. While this design is a more comic-accurate take on the character, it's possible that the Marvel baddie will showcase new powers to try and defeat Wong in a convincing way.
The stakes of the tournament are unknown, but it's safe to say that the fight will be won by not killing one another, especially after the confirmation that Tim Roth's Abomination will return in She-Hulk, while Wong is expected to go on a multiverse-sized adventure with Stephen Strange in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Fans will find out the winner between Wong and Abomination when Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings hits theaters on September 3, 2021.
