Audiences met quite a few new faces in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The first and most important is undoubtedly Xochitl Gomez’s Multiverse-hopping America Chavez. Then, of course, there was the entire Illuminati, which was composed of members such as Black Bolt and Reed Richards. Just when fans thought they might have been done with introductions, however, that post-credits sequence landed: Charlize Theron’s Clea had arrived.

The fateful moment happens as Doctor Strange is casually walking down the street. She appears, opens up an entrance to the Dark Dimension, and tells the hero that he caused an Incursion—and she intends on fixing it.

With how quick the scene was, audiences didn't get to spend much time with the character. Now, thanks to some new behind-the-scene images, fans can get a little more acquainted with her appearance.

Better Look at Clea

Actress Charlize Theron posted a new video to Twitter showcasing the look of her new character, Clea, as seen at the very end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The character’s costume is quite unique, perfectly giving off the same rippling effect that her uncle Dormammu himself displayed in the first Doctor Strange film.

Her cloak seems extremely detailed, while the shoulder pads are certainly something.

The Future of Clea and Doctor Strange

So where will Theron's character go next? Well, in the comics, she has a familial bond with Dormammu himself—so audiences are more than likely going to be reacquainted with the immensely powerful being.

Does this mean that he might be involved with the incursion drama? Will he lend a metaphorical hand to help out?

There are certainly a lot of questions to be had. What is clear, is how Clea is undoubtedly going to play a big part in Strange’s life going forward. Not only is she generally an important part of his lore, but she also is one of the character’s biggest love interests.

With Multiverse of Madness having given Stephen some closure with Christine, maybe the sorcerer can finally find a way to move on. What better way to do that than jump into the dark dimension with one of your biggest enemies’ niece?

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now playing in theaters worldwide.
