With Black Widow's theatrical release growing closer, fan excitement has reached a fever pitch. Things have only accelerated with the release of largely positive reviews of the film.
Marvel's publicity campaign hasn't slowed down either. With new trailers, posters, and interviews, fans have a lot of content to sift through as they wait for the film's upcoming release.
However, some MCU devotees were lucky enough to get an early look at the film...
BLACK WIDOW'S GLOBAL DEBUT
At a series of World Premiere Fan Events across the globe, Marvel stars and executives took to the red carpet alongside a whole host of lucky fans and cosplayers. These events, taking place in Melbourne, London, New York, and Los Angeles, included lots of photo opportunities and an early showing of Black Widow.
Disney recently uploaded photos from the event, showing cosplayers, executives, and stars from the film all having a great time.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige took pictures with fans at the event. The cosplayers to his left are dressed as Sylvie, a key character from the ongoing Loki series on Disney+.
Two cosplayers stand in front of the El Capitan theater at the world premiere event in Los Angeles. While the fan on the left sported a costume more reminiscent of Black Widow's comic book incarnations, the cosplayer to the right wore a more movie-accurate suit.
Fans dressed up as characters from across the MCU's broad history waited for Black Widow to begin in the El Capitan in Los Angeles. Characters like Captain America, the Winter Soldier, Red Guardian, and Taskmaster can be seen alongside a few Black Widows.

Kevin Feige and Black Widow producer Victoria Alonso took the stage at the world premiere fan event in Los Angeles. Alongside him, moving from left to right, is the evening's host, Angélique Roché, Victoria Alonso, executive producer Brad Winderbaum, and co-producer Brian Chapek.
Red Guardian actor David Harbour snapped a photo with cosplayers dressed as his character and the titular superspy at the world premiere event in New York.
Florence Pugh, who plays the mysterious Yelena Belova in the film, attended the premiere that took place in London, England.
A group of cosplayers depicting characters from across the MCU assembled in front of a huge Black Widow banner at the world premiere fan event in Melbourne, Australia. Among the group is Loki, Captain Marvel, Ronin, Captain America, Iron Man, and of course, Black Widow.
Xochitl Gomez also attended the world premiere fan event in Los Angeles ahead of her appearance as America Chavez in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Disney and Marvel executives alike were in attendance, taking a picture in front of a Black Widow backdrop at the world premiere fan event in Los Angeles.

BLACK WIDOW ROLLS OUT THE RED CARPET
While the Black Widow events themselves aren't too telling, the format and the makeup of them all are somewhat insightful.
On one hand, the form of the event shows an understanding of the importance of the MCU's supporters. The premiere clearly catered to MCU lovers, letting cosplayers walk the red carpet and pose with stars from the film. Even executives got in on the action by taking pictures with excited fans.
This fan excitement is also interesting. Even two years removed from the last entry in the franchise, it seems audiences haven't lost interest. In part, this may be due to the release of new MCU content on Disney+, something supported by the numerous Loki-based costumes seen at the event.
Fans excited to see the MCU's return to the big screen in Black Widow won't have to wait much longer, as the film releases in theaters on July 9, 2021. The film will also be available on Disney+ via Premier Access, costing $29.99 in addition to a subscription to the service.
