Thanks to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, several studios double-guessed their theatrical delays and some even went back on them, like Sony Pictures.

If it weren't for the introduction of a new MCU hero, fans may not have been able to see Venom: Let There Be Carnage until next year, which would have had a cascading effect and possibly even pushed Tom Holland's Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Thankfully, it all worked out, and fans will soon see Venom and Carnage duke it out on screen.

If the short wait is still too long, well, Sony has something to help tide audiences over until then.

Carnage Breaks Out of Prison

Sony Pictures released a brand-new clip from Venom: Let There Be Carnage, featuring the birth of Cletus Kasady's Carnage and his freedom from the death sentence.

The clip can be seen below:

The Birth of Carnage

From the moment Venom became an actual movie, Carnage was always going to be something the films had to tackle.

Cletus Kasady is also someone who fans have wanted to see in live-action for quite some time. While it's sad that Peter Parker's webslinger isn't involved, it sure does look like Carnage himself isn't going to disappoint.

Some fans and critics have already seen the film, and its reception is rather lukewarm. Many of the reviews praised Tom Hardy's Eddie and Venom dynamic while still mentioning the overall film being flat.

Fans will have to wait to see for themselves if the film is going to be any good when Venom Let There Be Carnage releases on October 1, 2021 in theaters worldwide.
