The Book of Boba Fett is the second live-action streaming show under the Star Wars banner. Set after the events of The Mandalorian Season 2, the series follows the Mos Eisley takeover of Temuera Morrison's titular bounty hunter and Ming-Na Wen's Fennec Shand. The show uses flashbacks to explore the story of the aftermath of Boba Fett's survival from the Sarlacc Pit and the pair's power struggle in Tatooine.

So far, The Book of Boba Fett has been on the receiving end of mixed reviews from fans and critics.

Many believe that this is due to the show's slow pacing and its back and forth shifting from flashbacks to the present day. In addition, The Book of Boba Fett also has minimal connections to The Mandalorian throughout its first four episodes.

However, this all changed during the fifth episode as a major character from The Mandalorian appeared in a major way.

Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin returned in The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 5, entitled "The Return of the Mandalorian."

In the episode, Din heads to Tatooine on a space bus instead of the Razor Crest. This is due to the fact that his ship was destroyed during the events of The Mandalorian Season 2.

Given that Mando uses public transportation, the security droid requires Din to surrender his weapons, thus revealing every single one from his arsenal.

Darksaber

The most iconic weapon that Din currently has is the Darksaber. This unique lightsaber is the only one that has a black blade, and it made its debut during Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It was created by a Mandalorian named Tarre Vizla, the first Mandalorian Jedi in history. At the end of Star Wars: Rebels, Katee Sackhoff's Bo-Katan Kryze was the last known owner of the Darksaber, but The Mandalorian Season 1 showed that Moff Gideon has it in his possession.

The Darksaber was ultimately won from combat by Din from Moff Gideon, thus making him the rightful owner. Aside from being the most important artifact in Mandalorian history, the saber is the conduit for Force energy, meaning that the wielder's thoughts and actions serve as a guide for the blade.

Blaster

Din's reliable IB-94 blaster pistol is also part of the list. The pistol has been the common staple of Mando ever since his debut in The Mandalorian, and it proved to be an essential part of his routine when taking out bad guys.

The item is manufactured by BlasTech Industries, and it is often used for medium to close-range attacks.

Whistling Birds

The Whistling Birds are often described as small but deadly weapons. These are small target-seeking darts that are made with hardened Beskar tips. They can penetrate most objects and explode if embedded in a target's guts.

Vibro-Knife

Mando's vibro-knife is a one-of-a-kind weapon that has a small, vibrating blade when activated. It is capable of cutting through metal materials, and it is often used for close-range attacks.

Vambrace Grappling Line

This secret tool is used by Din to restrain opponents and catch them. Mando can be seen using this throughout The Mandalorian as his way to torture enemies. At one point, he even used this weapon to cut a random bystander in half.

Magnetic Bombs

These magnetic bombs are useful when it comes to getting out of a messy situation. Mando often uses this to break through walls, take out AT-STs, or simply lure enemies away from a target.

Flamethrower

Mando's flamethrower is one of his hidden weapons. While Mando keeps this concealed, the bounty hunter can easily use this to thwart enemies' attacks in a surprising fashion.

Flash Charge/Flash Grenades

Flash charges are not commonly used by Mando, but they proved to be useful during "Chapter 5: The Gunslinger." Din used them to temporarily blind Fennec Shand in order to capture her.

Din Djarin is Ready For Battle

Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin is ready to fight anytime. Given that the fan-favorite bounty hunter has been showcasing his weapons in almost every fight ever since his Star Wars debut, seeing him in a vulnerable state where he surrenders each one of them is an interesting sight.

From the Darksaber to his whistling bombs, it's no secret that Din is a formidable warrior. Din's fighting skills have been front and center in his every appearance, and The Book of Boba Fett opens more opportunities to highlight them as it inches closer to its finale.

It remains to be seen if Din will add more weapons and gadgets in The Mandalorian Season 3, but it seems that what he currently has should be enough to thwart a good chunk of enemies in sight. Din has also been resourceful when using his weapons in unusual situations, thus proving that he is a valuable muscle on Boba Fett's side.

While it's unusual for The Book of Boba Fett not to feature Temuera Morrison's bounty hunter in the episode, many would agree that Din's return is a welcome addition. It gave fans a preview of what's in store for The Mandalorian Season 3 while also setting him up for a significant role in Boba Fett's upcoming duel with the Pykes.

The first five episodes of The Book of Boba Fett are now streaming on Disney+.
