There's intrigue in the Star Wars universe.

The future of the franchise remains unknown. On the publishing front, Lucasfilm is preparing to introduce an all-new saga in an untapped era under The High Republic. The first phase of the program is set to launch in January, with subsequent waves of books to follow.

On the film front, there are even more questions than answers. Taika Waititi's Star Wars film is the most definitive project on the horizon, and could be releasing as early as December 2023. Disney+ seems to be the home of Star Wars for years to come, as The Mandalorian's second season will premiere in October, with The Bad Batch, Cassian Andor, and Obi-Wan Kenobi to follow in the next few years. There have been rumors of a larger narrative on the television front in the works, and an actor has made it known that he's interested in portraying a familiar Jedi...

Actor Rahul Kohli teased on Twitter that he's getting into Ezra Bridger shape:

But, it appears nothing official is happening as of yet:

WHAT THIS MEANS

There have been rumors of a live-action debut for Ezra Bridger for quite some time. Several months ago, Kohli threw his name into the hat to play Bridger, alongside Mean Massoud and the character's animation voice actor, Taylor Gray.

Multiple outlets have reported that there's a larger narrative at play for the Star Wars Disney+ series, with The Mandalorian being the first of many. The highly reported appearance of Ahsoka Tano in the hit series' second season has been said to serve as a backdoor into her own show, with Captain Rex and Sabine Wren at her side.

When we last saw Ezra, he and Thrawn went into hyperspace and disappeared at the conclusion of Star Wars Rebels. The characters' fates remain unknown, but with the emergence of their fellow Rebels cast members, there's a good chance that they could appear in live-action as well. Should this rumor prove to be true, Kohli may have a chance to perform the role of his dreams as the missing Jedi makes his return.
