It's hard to believe that Spider-Man: No Way Home has been out for nearly a week now for most of the world. All of those cameos and secrets are out there in the wild, and the many rumors floating were able to be confirmed or denied. The biggest question of them all? Will Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire actually make their grand return?

To nearly no one's surprise, both former Spider-Men did, in fact, return. While Maguire never really talked publically about his possible return before the movie, Andrew Garfield had to remain steadfast and strong in keeping the secrets.

Nearly every week, it felt like there was another report of the actor denying his involvement in Tom Holland’s next Spidey film. Poor guy; he simply never got a break, even when trying to promote another movie like Tick, Tick… Boom!

Well, now No Way Home stars Tom Holland and Zendaya have publicly commented on Garfield's return as the famous wall-crawler.

Tom Holland Talks Andrew Garfield's Legendary Return

In an interview with MarvelSpider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland and Zendaya got to talk about what it was like to work with Andrew Garfield as he returned as Peter Parker.

The hero role was essentially pulled away from Garfield after 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - a sequel that was planned to lead into many more movies for Garfield's Spidey - following underwhelming box office and critical performance and Marvel Studios' plans to revive the character in their Avengers-filled Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Holland immediately mentioned how he's "such a lovely guy," and pointed out that he believes "this film was his way of making peace with Spider-Man:"

"Andrew Garfield, the legend himself. He's such a lovely guy. I think this film was his way of making peace with Spider-Man. It was such a privilege to work with him. I know that it meant a lot to him."

Zendaya chipped in saying that "it was so beautiful to see [Tobey, Andrew, and Tom] care so deeply about the characters:"

"It was so beautiful. [Tobey, Andrew, and Tom] care so deeply about the characters, and what their characters— what their journey had been as Spider-Man. It was so beautiful to see all of you guys connect on that and be able to talk to each other about such a special experience that very few people have been able to don the suit. It was great to see how much you guys all really cared and had each other's back. It was really sweet."

Holland went on to conclude that "it's like a brotherhood."

Fans Want More Garfield as Spider-Man

Warning - this section contains plot-specific spoilers from Spider-Man: No Way Home.

For those that went and saw the film during its opening weekend, Andrew Garfield’s entrance through Ned’s portal was one of the biggest crowd moments in the movie. Right from the start, it was clear that the actor was excited to be back in the suit, and the audience felt that.

There are already trends on Twitter with fans campaigning for Sony to commission The Amazing Spider-Man 3, just so the world can have more of Garfield’s Spidey. Even if that happens, audiences would surely love to see him become the Spider-Man in Sony’s connected cinematic universe.

But, with the character showing up in an MCU project, the door is always open for Garfield to return down the line. Maybe for that rumored Secret Wars project that the Russo Brothers may be talking to Marvel Studios about.

For now, fans can continue to see him in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which is playing in theaters worldwide.
