In an interview with Variety , Rosario Dawson briefly commented on the rumor of being cast as Ahsoka Tano:
That’s not confirmed yet but when that happens, I will be very happy. I’m very excited for that to be confirmed at some point. [It would be] a million and one percent because of the fans.
WHAT THIS MEANS
This is about as close as you can get to having it confirmed by the actress herself without explicitly saying it's happening. The way Dawson talks about "when" it happens and how excited she is for it be officially announced is a not-so-subtle wink to the fans. The actress has been an outspoken fan of Ahsoka for many years, stating long ago that she wished to play the character in live-action. Now, it really sounds like her wish has been granted.
We're in for a lot of Ahoksa this year, with her stint in The Clone Wars about to wrap up with the Siege of Mandalore arc, an alleged Rebels animated sequel, and this appearance in The Mandalorian . Nobody can say for sure what role she'll be playing in the Mando's story, but it's not hard to imagine she'll have something to do with The Child at some point, or maybe an encounter with Moff Gideon. Now we wait for Lucasfilm to announce it themselves. The best bet is that she'll be the suprise reveal at the end of The Mandalorian's Season 2 teaser trailer, probably coming some time in the summer. All will be revealed in time. For now, we must have patience.
