NEWS
According to a new Twitter release from Steven Weintraub, the editor-in-chief at Collider, the media junket for WandaVision on Disney+ is taking place the weekend of January 8 to January 10 for interviews with the cast and crew. The social media embargo lifts on Saturday, January 9, at 9:00 am PST, and the review embargo lifts on Thursday, January 14, at 9:00 am PST.
WHAT THIS MEANS
Although the plot of WandaVision's first three episodes will remain a secret until they premiere, this is going to bring excitement to fans everywhere as a select few people watch and critique the introduction to this series.
Social media reactions for premieres like this are usually very vague and used to build hype for when they debut in full, but everything reported for WandaVision thus far is setting the show up to be an instant hit . The first three episodes will most likely explore Wanda and Vision's lives in the 1950s through about the 1970s, and the hype is already building to see what arises from the media junket.
The interviews will likely feature the core cast and crew of WandaVision , and it wouldn't come as a shock if Marvel CCO Kevin Feige took part as well considering this is the debut project of Phase 4. The weekend's social media reactions will be a precursor to spoiler-free reviews coming later in the week, and the story will start to reveal itself in full when WandaVision premieres on Disney+ on January 15.
