Ever since the second episode of Loki, "The Variant" ended, fan theories have been running wild about who exactly Sophia Di Martino is playing in the show. Obviously, she's a Variant of the God of Mischief, but which one is the question.
It was recently revealed through credits for the Castilian dub that Di Martino will be playing a Variant of Loki called Sylvie. Adding to that revelation, there's even a prop in the show itself that gives away her entire name: Sylvie Laufeydottir.
So, it's not a surprise when merchandise for the show gives the game away again by reaffirming the name of Di Martino's mysterious Variant.
MARVEL MERCHANDISE SPOILERS STRIKE AGAIN
As pointed out to The Direct by Jurre Kroeze, the Zavvi online store is selling licensed Loki merchandise that reaffirms the name of Di Martino's character.
"This document certifies that these horned helmets were inspired by the elements worn by Loki and Sylvie in the Marvel series: Loki. This officially liscensed jewelery items were manufactured by licensee Saleson, LLC.
The merchandise in question is a replica set of helmets worn by Loki and Sylvie in the show, one of which even has a broken horn like the one worn by Di Martino's character.
THE LOKI VARIANT IS CALLED SYLVIE
At this point, it's been well established now that the Loki Variant that Di Martino is playing is definitely called Sylvie. So, it'll be quite a surprise if her name isn't dropped at all in the next episode, considering they've already set up for audiences that she doesn't like being called Loki.
After all, Tom Hiddleston's Trickster God chased after her through the Time Door, so audiences are likely to get a conversation between the two of them again in the next episode where fans will hopefully learn more about Di Martino's Loki Variant, including her name. However, the episode could easily end up dealing with the fallout of what her Variant did to the Sacred Timeline and focus on Owen Wilson's Mobius instead.
Loki is currently released weekly on Disney+ every Wednesday.
