Popular YouTuber Coryxkenshin has not been heard of for months, so where is the online creator in 2024?
Born Cory DeVante Williams, Coryxkenshin became a major name on the video-sharing platform behind his avidly-watched horror game playthroughs.
Williams would even leverage this online fame into making his way onto the big screen, appearing in 2023's Five Nights and Freddy's movie as the film's taxi driver character.
Where Is Coryxkenshin Now?
It has been over a year since fans last heard from Coryxkenshine leading questions to pop up about the popular YouTuber's whereabouts.
The last audiences heard from the creator, he had posted on his personal Instagram page in July 2023. He would later make a cameo appearance in the Five Nights at Freddy's movie which would be released several months later in October.
The uber-popular online personality has remained silent all these months later, despite still coming up in conversation among fans and fellow creators.
In June 2024, fellow streamer Kai Cenat (who cameoed in last year's Good Burger 2 movie), spoke about Coryxkenshin on stream.
He said that Cory had told him that he was "going to take this year off," likely being the reason why he has been so quiet in 2024 (via Reddit):
"Cory f---ing Kenshin. When I asked you when was the next video, you said, 'Nine months.' I thought it would only be nine months. He said, 'f--- that, I am going to take this year off.' Now, look Cory, we do not know what is going on with your shit. Where you at, bro?"
This came after CoryxKenshin had previously told Cenat he planned on taking a nine-month break from content creation, something he has seemingly walked back on.
Over the past year, fans have seemingly spotted the YouTube personality in various locations around the world, perhaps hinting that he is spending his time off traveling the globe.
The reason for the break has not been made public by CoryxKenshin or anyone in his sphere, but it likely has to do with his meteoric rise to fame and the constant grind that can come with full-time YouTube creation.
Coryxkenshin has been uploading to YouTube since 2009 and has taken lengthy hiatuses such as this several times before.
Between September 2011 and July 2013, he would take a two-year break from all online activity, taking similar (albeit shorter hiatuses) for several months in 2016 and 2018.
Given it has been more than a year since his last upload, the popular YouTuber could make his grand return at any moment.
