In a recently published Instagram post, Ashley Eckstein took the time to comment on fans' questions and the larger report of the Ahsoka Tano live-action casting. In regards specifically to the reported casting, she noted:
Last week, a rumor was released about Ahsoka Tano being in season 2 of The Mandalorian . I’ve read all of your questions and comments about this story and thank you for your patience as I’ve taken the much-needed time to sort through these questions. The truth is, I am not involved in The Mandalorian . I can’t answer questions for something I have not been a part of. I am an actress and I have performed in all types of mediums; live action film/television, theater, voice-over, hosting and it has been my dream for 14 years to continue to play Ahsoka Tano in all forms. I will continue to be grateful for opportunities to help create stories for Ahsoka Tano and I am always happy to see her legacy continue. I am only one member of a tremendously talented team of people that it takes to bring Ahsoka Tano to life. The final decisions for Ahsoka are not mine to make and I cannot comment on something that I truly know nothing about.

WHAT THIS MEANS
Fans were curious to understand whether Ashley Eckstein had anything to say on the matter of Ahsoka being brought to live-action, and whether or not she herself may actually be involved. To date, details are still up in the air on whether Ahsoka Tano will be a recurring or guest character, but Eckstein's Instagram post at the very least answers the former. As she stated in her post, she does not have any involvement with The Mandalorian, and thus it would be unfair for her to provide input on the subject. Still, it was great to see that to this day she has the utmost love and gratitude in being able to bring Ahsoka Tano to life through the animated series, matching the adoration for the character itself just like her fans.
