WandaVision took the world by storm when it started Marvel Studios' Phase 4 earlier this year. The story saw Wanda dealing with her grief after the events of Avengers: Infinity War/Endgame in an arguably unhealthy manner.
The show went on to earn the MCU its first Emmy awards and paved the way for Elizabeth Olsen's next appearance as Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
While fans will see Doctor Strange show up in Spider-Man: No Way Home, his next solo adventure is set to debut on May 6, 2022. The movie will see the good doctor take his first true dive into the Multiverse, an adventure that promises to be a wild ride.
The project will also introduce a brand new character to the MCU: America Chavez. The character has interdimensional-based powers in the comics, and her place in this upcoming story seems pretty perfect.
A new stream of merchandise for the film has started to be released, and with it, a new picture featuring characters such as Scarlet Witch and America Chavez.
America Chavez Is Here for Multiverse of Madness
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness merchandise has started to come out, and with it, comes new promotional images.
In newly-released Doctor Strange-themed sweatpants on Amazon, Scarlet Witch, America Chavez, Wong, and Doctor Strange can be seen in their new outfits.
A close-up of the new image shows Strange using his classic magic, Wong, and Scarlet Witch—with Xochitl Gomez's America Chavez joining the fray.
Notably, Gomez's character is referencing her iconic Marvel Comics variant cover of America #1 (May 2017), which was Chavez's first self-titled issue (art by Jamie McKelvie).

Doctor Strange, Wanda, & America Chavez Walk into a Multiverse
Something to note about the cast of characters is how scary and evil Scarlet Witch looks. Her eyes are bright red, with her hand about to cast her Chaos Magic. Is this a tease that her character might be heading down a darker path?
There have been rumors that Wanda will be looking for her kids during the events of Multiverse of Madness. If true, there's nothing that will stop her from finding her—even Doctor Strange is not going to have a good time.
As for America Chavez, there's not much to extrapolate from the new image of her, besides her pose from the iconic comic cover. Her placement beside the likes of Wanda, Wong, and Strange, however, indicates that her role is sizeable.
Fans will have to wait just a little bit longer for the Multiverse insanity that the film is likely to bring, as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now premiering on May 6, 2022 instead of its prior March release date.
