2021 was a long year for Star Wars fans. While there were two animated shows, The Bad Batch and Visions, no new live-action content was available for audiences to get lost in. Then December 29 came, and people across the world finally got The Book of Boba Fett. The show stars Temuera Morrison's Boba Fett in his return to Tatooine as he tries to fill the void that Jabba the Hutt left behind.
The first episode saw the famous bounty hunter not long after the events of Return of the Jedi. After decades of not knowing, fans finally got to see how Fett survived his encounter in the Sarlaac pit. The story went even further, showing the trials and tribulations he went through right after before meeting up with the Mandalorian.
One of the most exciting elements of new Star Wars content is meeting fresh faces to the expansive lore that the franchise contains. This time around, fans got to meet the mysterious Majordomo, as well as Jennifer Beals' Madam Garsa, the woman who runs the cantina seen in the first episode.
Now, as is tradition, Lucasfilm released two brand-new character posters that formally introduce the two newcomers.
New Book of Boba Fett Character Posters
On the official Star Wars Twitter account, Lucasfilm revealed two character posters for the new arrivals in The Book of Boba Fett's first episode.
The first is for David Pasquesi's Majordomo—which sees the Togruta eager to make the audience's acquaintance:
Jennifer Beals' Madam Garsa took a moment away from the Cantina to grace this second poster:
Fresh Faces Join the Star Wars World
Fans are probably thrilled to once again have new Star Wars character posters. When it comes to these characters themselves, they are likely to have a good amount of screentime left in them.
The cantina seems like it will be a key location that Boba Fett and Fennec Shand will visit often, which will include dealings with Madam Garsa. The real question is: what kind of shady dealings is she involved with and how will it all intersect with Boba's Crimelord status?
As for the Majordomo, his mystery employer is almost certainly one of the key mysteries of the series. He does get a name, however: Mok Shaiz. This name doesn't belong to any known character, which makes it seem like the show is aiming to introduce a new villain to the world. There is, however, a chance that the name is simply a fake one, or title, taken on by somebody fans are familiar with.
Viewers will have to watch The Book of Boba Fett every Wednesday exclusively on Disney+ to find out the answers to these questions, mysteries, and more.
