Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has been out in the world for a few weeks now, and it's still showing off an impressive performance at the box office. Though,
One of the best performances in the film for many was Tony Leung's Wenwu, who brought to life the real Mandarin, someone who has been teased in the MCU since the day it all started. Thankfully, Marvel Studios made the character a relatable and very tragic character, and not just someone hellbent on evil things just because.
Sadly, at the end of the film, Wenwu dies in a sacrificial moment, saving Shang-Chi's life from the Dweller-In-Darkness. It was a shame
Though, it seems
Tony Leung's Return Teased
During the podcast They Call Us Bruce, journalist Jeff Yang teased something quite interesting about the future of a character introduced in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
Yang acted as the cultural consultant on the film, and while he brought up quite a few things on the podcast, there was one
Yang mentioned he wishes
"Given what they had in Tony Leung, I would have hoped
that they would have made it a little more clearthat he has other places to be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I'll just leave it atthat ."

Does Tony Leung Have an MCU Future?
It's amazing news if Tony Leung's Wenwu truly does have a future past his demise in Shang-Chi's last act. Does that mean he somehow lived past that moment? Not all that likely––but not impossible.
After all, with the Multiverse in play, quite literally everything is possible. Seeing another Wenwu pop up is entirely possible.
The more likely option is that the character will be seen in flashbacks in future Shang-Chi films or projects. There may even be a ghost/vision version of him when Shang-Chi needs guidance, something that many stories like to take advantage of.
While fans wait to see what may happen with Wenwu in the future, make sure to go see Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in theaters worldwide.
