Chris Evans Falcon and Winter Soldier Captain America

With The Falcon and the Winter Soldier having ended and given the world Sam Wilson’s Captain America, the attention of fans has shifted—even if ever so slightly. Now more than ever, many are fixated on one question: where is Steve Rogers?

The only people that know that answer seem to be the highest-ranking officials within the Marvel Studios’ office—and they aren’t sharing. In fact, according to the showrunner of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier , Marvel wouldn’t even tell them . All of those references within the show were done without the creatives behind the show not ever having the true answer behind the Steve Rogers mystery.

Things are now getting a little murky, as writer Malcolm Spellman has added even more to the Chris Evans-related conversation...

MARVEL WAS DISCUSSING CHRIS EVANS

In an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment , The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's head wrtiter Malcolm Spellman was asked if a cameo for Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers was ever in the cards.

His answer was a bit of a contradictory one, saying that “it was discussed” before hesitating on his words...

“It was discussed...I think...I don’t know. I am officially saying I don’t know.”

After some pressing from Yahoo! Entertainment, Spellman seemed to add that he knew it was discussed––just not the details of that discussion.

The clip from the interview can be seen in the Tweet below:

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS STEVE ROGERS?

With all of this talk, someone clearly isn’t saying a key piece of information. It’s almost as if Marvel Studios has snipers aiming their red laser sights on creatives as they do press. Almost.

Nevertheless, the mystery of Steve Rogers and his current location will have to be answered at some point . Whenever there are hanging plot threads left within the MCU, they tend to get picked up at some point—even if it’s a decade later.

What would be great is if all those rumors within The Falcon and the Winter Soldier are true, and Steve Rogers really is on the moon. Not only that, but he’s actually hanging around with Black Bolt and the Royal Inhuman Family. Now that...that would be a development.

All episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier are streaming now on Disney+.
