After a long hiatus, several projects of Marvel Studios have been making headlines in the past few days. There has been a burst of news about WandaVision after the record-breaking debut of its trailer. Not only that, other Disney+ shows like Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk are slowly completing its growing cast.
Meanwhile, another Disney+ show in the form of Loki seems to be gearing up for production once again after a long break. New evidence suggests that the Tom Hiddleston-led series has already resumed filming last week. Now, a new interview with one of its stars may shed some more light on the production restart of the show.
NEWS
While speaking with Forbes, Loki star Gugu Mbatha-Raw acknowledged the fact that she is "sworn to secrecy about everything with Loki" but she did share that "it feels great to be back" on the set of the much-anticipated Disney+ series:
“I’m obviously sworn to secrecy about everything to do with Loki, but it feels great to be back. Everyone is trying to do it as safely as possible under the circumstances, and it feels good. I’m excited. It’s a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to see it.”
On a lighter note, Mbatha-Raw admitted that she already "watched a lot" of the MCU catalog on Disney+ in order to prepare for Loki:
“I’d already watched a lot of them. I got Disney+ when I got the job, so I binged a lot of it then.”
WHAT THIS MEANS
Not much is known about the role of Gugu Mbatha-Raw on the Loki Disney+ series, but it's safe to say that she is excited to be part of the show and the MCU in general. The Misbehaviour actress had been vocal about her involvement on the show in the past, with her already teasing that Loki will "mature in a different way" during the Disney+ series. As such, the actress' remarks of production already restarting also align with the set photo that were uncovered from Instagram last week.
Moreover, Mbatha-Raw's comments indicate that the set of Loki already implemented extensive health protocols, and this serves as a good sign for the cast and crew during the ongoing health crisis to avoid further delays. Filming for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is already in full swing in the past week, providing fans with a plethora of set photos and videos. With Loki now confirmed to resume filming, it will be interesting to see if more set photos from the series will surface in the coming days.
All things considered, the anticipation for Loki is sky high since it is poised to answer more questions about the multiverse narrative that the MCU will explore moving forward.
