Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is right around the corner, and fans couldn't be more excited. Ever since it was announced, anticipation has been at an all-time high—after all, who wouldn't want to explore the many alternate realities that create all of existence? From the trailers alone, fans can see that the adventure is going to be quite unique; it could be potentially a bit messy as well, if the look of Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch is anything to go by.
Plenty of action from the project has been teased throughout its marketing. There's a massive bandage monster threatening our heroes, a potential Variant of Captain Marvel throwing energy at something, Strange getting a zombie makeover, and countless other dire situations.
It's been previously revealed that at some point in the beginning, probably towards the start of the film, a giant tentacle creature named Gargantos will be terrorizing Strange and New York City. Bits of the action have been seen here and there in the trailer, but now fans can watch an entire minute from the upcoming action scene.
New Doctor Strange 2 Clip
Marvel released a new clip from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness that showcases Benedict Cumberbatch's titular character fighting Gargantos as it tries to kill Xochitl Gomez's America Chavez.
One of his first moves is a spell and effect audiences have not yet seen him pull off in the MCU. In usual Doctor Strange fashion, it sure is trippy.
His move does backfire a tad, though, as it leaves America Chavez hanging for her life.
Good thing the handy-dandy Cloak of Levitation is there to save the day.
All that's left to do now is to saw the bus in half.
The entire clip can be seen below.
Doctor Strange Vs. Gargantos
With how often Gargantos has been used in the marketing for the film, one would think that maybe he'd play a fairly notable role. In reality, this is probably his only scene in the movie—one which will likely end with him being chopped into a few more pieces thanks to Strange and Wong.
Gargantos has likely been so prominent in marketing in an attempt to avoid as many spoilers as possible. After all, look too closely at the many trailers and promos, and it starts to paint Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch as the antagonist.
Either way, there are sure to be plenty of surprises ahead for fans when they go and see the movie on May 6. Better start placing bets as to which rumored cameos may end up being true—fingers crossed for Deadpool.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will debut in theaters on May 6.
