The Batman is set to give DC fans a brand new take on the Dark Knight. Directed by Matt Reeves, the upcoming solo film will showcase the DCEU debut of Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, alongside notable stars such as Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot, and Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon.
The Batman has been confirmed to take place during the second year of Bruce's vigilante life in Gotham, with the trailers teasing that it will revolve around a series of murders within the city. Marketing has revealed that Dano's Riddler will be the villain responsible for the killings, while Kravitz's Catwoman and Farrell's Penguin are also expected to spell trouble for the Caped Crusader.
As 2022 inches closer, the film's promotional drive will start sooner rather than later. DC FanDome 2021 managed to boost the anticipation for the movie by unveiling its second trailer, giving fans a preview of what's in store in the DCEU entry. An official synopsis was also released as part of preparations for its marketing run.
Now, a new batch of magazine covers has been released to celebrate the film.

Bruce's Bat Costume, Selina Kyle's Whip & More
These new magazine covers for The Batman could potentially signal the start of the film's marketing push, meaning that more details could soon be revealed.
A fresh look at Robert Pattinson's Batman suit is the main highlight of this latest reveal. The costume is brimming with gadgets and weapons specifically on Bruce's utility belt, while it's apparent that the Bat symbol in the suit's chest plate is crafted from a gun.
This could hint that this gun is the one that was used during the night of Thomas and Martha Wayne's death, likely suggesting that Bruce is using this as a reminder to continue fighting crime for Gotham.
Meanwhile, Zoë Kravitz's comic accurate look as Selina Kyle takes center stage in this new cover, with the inclusion of Catwoman's iconic whip as an added bonus.
The trailers gave a preview of Bruce and Selina's dynamic, potentially hinting that there is tension between the pair. It's possible that the Gotham duo have a shared history, thus giving new meaning to the scenes that were unveiled in the film's footage so far.
Given that Bruce and Selina are the main focus of these covers, this suggests that the latter has a major role in the movie. If so, then this could hint that Selina may help Bruce in investigating the Riddler's killings, and this could allow them to explore their newfound partnership even further.
Fans will find out more when The Batman premieres in theaters on March 4, 2022.
