If there's anyone that's found success in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's Anthony and Joe Russo.
Just recently, the pair of directors celebrated the two-year anniversary of Avengers: Endgame's release. In fact, their fourth MCU movie became the highest-grossing film of all time until a short time ago, following yet another theatrical release of James Cameron's Avatar.
Nevertheless, the Russo Bros. just can't seem to miss as they continue to crank out fresh films that everyone enjoys. Merchandisers are starting to take notice of this and capitalize on Anthony and Joe Russo's success.
FUNKO CELEBRATES THE RUSSO BROS
Funko has revealed that MCU directors Anthony and Joe Russo are being celebrated with their own Pop! vinyl bobbleheads, which will be included in 2021's Summer Virtual Funkon Event.
This Funko product will be a two-pack that includes both figures made for the directorial duo. The Pop! pack will be limited to two thousand pieces and will only be available on Funko's online shop.
TWO BROTHERS CHANGING THE GAME
Only a handful of Hollywood's best directors have had the honor of getting the Funko treatment, including J.J. Abrams, Jason Blum, and Paul Feig. Needless to say, the Russo Bros. are joining some great company - including a few MCU colleagues, Taika Waititi and James Gunn.
Fans of the MCU have become quite familiar with Anthony and Joe Russo since they made their MCU directorial debut with 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which is still lauded as one of the best Marvel movies to date.
Speaking of the best Marvel films, the Russo Bros. can claim more than one project on that list. Having also made 2016's Captain America: Civil War, 2018's Avengers: Infinity War, and 2019's Avengers: Endgame, everything the two brothers have done for the Marvel Cinematic Universe fairs pretty well for anyone looking to rank their favorite Marvel movies.
Since their latest MCU outing with Endgame, Anthony and Joe Russo have had a hand in several other projects away from Marvel that have also done extremely well. In 2019, they produced the one-off crime thriller 21 Bridges, with the late, great Chadwick Boseman as the lead actor. The pair also tried their hand at the streaming game in 2020 when they produced Netflix's Extraction starring Chris Hemsworth, which was so well-received that a sequel was ordered almost immediately.
To sum it all up, Anthony and Joe Russo have been at the top of their game for the better part of a decade now, bringing fans of action and suspense some of the best work that Hollywood has to offer. It's only fitting that they get the recognition they deserve by having a three-inch versions of themselves displayed in bedrooms worldwide.
