With Simu Liu's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings having had its time to shine, it's now time for another movie to get the spotlight: Eternals. The movie is set to introduce the brand new titular group of god-like beings to the MCU.
The cast is full of all-stars, with not only big names joining the MCU, but also including an insanely diverse roster. The film is set to introduce a brand new deaf superhero Makkari, who is brought to life by Lauren Ridloff, as well as Marvel Studios' first openly gay character in Brian Tyree Henry's Phastos—whose family has gotten lots of time to shine in recent promotional material.
One of the biggest names in the film is none other than Angelina Jolie, someone people likely thought would never be a part of something like a big-name Marvel superhero project. Well, it's happening, and from the looks of it, she's going to be one of the stand-out elements of the film.
Even her castmates think so.
Angelina Jolie Gets Praise From Kumail Nanjiani
Eternals actor Kumali Nanjiani, who portrays Kingo in the film, took to Twitter to praise his co-star Angelina Jolie for her performance as Thena in the upcoming MCU project.
This tweet comes on the back of a recently released teaser for the movie that showcased lots of new footage of Jolie's Thena. Nanjiani comments that the actress "is utterly fantastic:"
"Gah! November 5th! Just one month away! (Angelina Jolie is utterly fantastic in this movie btw.) #Eternals"
Jolie's Thena Shines In The Upcoming Epic
It's always great to see other cast members hyping up fellow actors. Kumail Nanjiani has been vocally excited about the project for quite some time now, so it's no surprise that he's the one doing so.
Angelina Jolie looks like not only is she great on camera, but also off it. There are lots of great stories about her time on set, including how she helped fellow deaf actor Lauren Ridloff act with nothing but blue screens to go off of.
Hopefully, Jolie will have a long future in the MCU. As of now, it's completely unknown how many of the Eternals will continue on past this debut film, and if any may not make it when the credits start rolling.
The answer to that is only a month away, as Eternals is set to hit theaters worldwide on November 5 later this year.
