With the MCU bigger than ever, the presence of the Marvel universe in gaming is also now reaching an all-time high. Fans can soon look forward to games based on Wolverine, Guardians of the Galaxy, Midnight Suns, and more from the world of Insomniac Games' Spider-Man.
Even as more new titles release in the years to come, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics appear set on continuing support for Marvel's Avengers. Since its launch, fans of the co-op action RPG have been treated to new heroes, regions, cosmetics, and more.
Most recently, players saw the release of the “War for Wakanda” expansion which included the Black Panther hero, a region inspired by the fictional African nation, and an entirely new storyline to accompany it.
As the world of Marvel's Avengers continues to expand, the Square Enix title appears set for a huge surge of new players as it will soon be arriving on Xbox Game Pass.
Marvel's Avengers Comes to Game Pass
Xbox Wire officially revealed Marvel's Avengers will be coming to the Game Pass subscription service on September 30, 2021, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Cloud.
Game Pass players will have full access to the entire game and all its post-launch content, including the recently released “War for Wakanda” expansion.
Unfortunately, Game Pass players will not receive the eight cosmetic items found in the Endgame Edition, but gamers can digitally upgrade to this version to unlock the additional skins.
Marvel Avengers' Future Just Got Bigger
Recent Steam statistics have indicated that even with the recent Wakanda expansion, Marvel's Avengers is still struggling to maintain player counts. While these numbers aren't available for other platforms, these statistics likely paint a similar picture.
With Marvel's Avengers set to release on Xbox Game Pass in just a few days' time, the superhero RPG may receive a significant surge in player counts. Any substantial growth in the game's popularity could open doors to even more post-launch content in the months and years to come.
Either way, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics appear committed to continuing support for some time to come with Spider-Man set to release exclusively on PlayStation later this year and more heroes to come.
Marvel's Avengers is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
