Marvel's Avengers has experienced a plethora of ups and downs since its release in 2020, but the Square Enix co-op game appears to have regained its momentum after the developers created massive improvements to the game.
From adding the likes of Hawkeye and Black Panther to its growing roster all the way to creating new DLCs, many would agree that Square Enix is listening to the fan community. Another stark improvement for the game is the additional skins that players can choose for their respective Marvel heroes.
In the past months, heroes like Black Widow, Captain America, and Thor have received updated skins that are inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ranging from Avengers: Endgame outfits all the way to Captain America: Civil War costumes.
Now, another MCU-related skin has been added to the game.
2008's Iron Man Takes Center Stage in Marvel's Avengers
Crystal Dynamics, through the official Marvel's Avengers Twitter account, officially unveiled a brand-new skin for the Armored Avenger that is inspired by the MCU.
This latest skin is inspired by the Mark III from 2008's Iron Man:
Players can get it in the marketplace on September 23, 2021.
Marvel's Avengers Added Another MCU Flavor
This latest addition to Marvel's Avengers is a fitting one, mainly because it serves as a reminder of Iron Man's triumphant live-action debut. Adding this skin should give players a chance to recreate iconic moments from Robert Downey Jr.'s 2008 MCU blockbuster.
At this stage, it remains to be seen what other MCU costumes will be unveiled. This isn't the first Iron Man armor that was released for the game since the nanotech-infused Avengers: Endgame costume was revealed as well.
A prime candidate would be Tony Stark's armor from 2016's Captain America: Civil War as a reminder of the major shift of the Avenger's in-universe fate in the MCU. Another one would be Stark's armor from Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Back in March 2021, Crystal Dynamics teased that the game would include MCU skins, and so far, it's safe to say that the promise hasn't disappointed. The consistent release of MCU skins should serve as a good sign for players, and this could hint that there will be more MCU skins that will arrive sooner rather than later.
