Spider-Man: No Way Home is here, and to almost nobody's surprise, the film is completely destroying the box office. Tom Holland's third solo outing as Spidey raked in $121.5 million dollars domestically on its first Friday, which placed the project as the second-highest Friday opening of all time, lagging only behind Avengers: Endgame's $157 million.

Spider-Man was already a big deal for the MCU, so no matter what, the film was going to be a success. But then, Marvel and Sony decided to bring in faces from the past: Alfred Molina's Doc Ock, Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin, and Jamie Foxx's Electro all made the cut. Needless to say, this brought in even more attention.

That's not to mention the rumors of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's involvement on top of the villains already confirmed. Whether or not they made it in is irrelevant; the conversation alone likely doubled interest for the film.

No Way Home star and current Spider-Man Tom Holland has taken to Instagram to celebrate the project's success and thank the fans who helped make it happen.

Tom Holland Celebrates Spider-Man Success

Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland took to Instagram to celebrate the film's success in a new post.

The actor called out how "[fans] made this possible," and declared that  "[everyone's] support means the world [to him]:"

"Wow guys I can't believe these number. You made this possible. Your love and support means the world to me. Thank you thank you thank you and if you haven't seen Spider-Man No Way Home yet…. Merry Christmas and you know what to..."

Holland also posted to his story, personally thanking his stunt doubles and friends for their work on the film. The actor compared their great feats to "stubbing [his] little toe on the glider:"

"Without these legends, this movie wouldn't be half as good. Thank you lads for your hard work and dedication. From Luke's crash into the stairs to Greg's falling through the floor to me stubbing little toe on the glider. It's been an adventure. Love you lads."

Tom Holland Loves His Fans

The Spider-Man: No Way Home star has always been gracious and thankful for those that support him. Holland reacted a similar way back when the film's first trailer completely smashed viewership records.

The love he has for his close friends and family is also pretty clear. He even got his brother a role in the film, although it sadly didn't make the movie's final cut; it's the thought that counts, at least.

As grateful as the actor is, the conversation he's had during the film's press has pointed towards the actor potentially wanting to hang up the costume and let a new young talent take the lead. When talking about what could be next, the actor namedropped characters like Spider-Gwen or Miles Morales as potential new leads.

While that does make it look like he may be done, that's likely far from the truth. It's more than likely a public display to try and get leverage for a new contract and pay—after all, even Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that fans would be seeing the character again. Hopefully, that happens sooner rather than later.
