Back before the box office success of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Venom: Let There Be Carnage, there was Black Widow. This action-packed film was released back when the box office climate was still very much in question.

Disney decided to opt for a hybrid release, where the film simultaneously became available in theaters as well as on Disney+. In order to view it on the streaming service, though, viewers had to pay an additional Disney+ Premier price for a single viewing.

The whole situation ended up being a real mess, as Black Widow star Scarlett Johannson took legal action against Disney claiming that they breached her contract by releasing her debut solo film on its streaming platform. While that situation has since been resolved, the consequences of the whole ordeal remain.

Black Widow has been out for a while now, but now the film has been officially released onto Disney+ free of charge. To celebrate, Disney released a few new posters featuring the longtime MCU hero.

To celebrate the free release of Black Widow on Disney+, Marvel Studios has unveiled some new artwork for the film.

The first new poster is a very simple one, showing Scarlett Johannson's face within the character's famous logo.

A new computer background-sized image that repurposes artwork from a previous poster was also included in the celebration.

The last image included is one of Natasha Romanoff staring off into the distance, lit by the red hallway of the Red Room behind her.

Marvel's First Phase 4 Movie on Disney+

These new posters for the film certainly don't shed any new light on the film or add anything to the already heaping pile of Black Widow marketing. Maybe the fact that new variations of art for the film exist is a good sign in relation to Disney's troublesome legal battle with Johansson being over, or it could have just been sitting in a folder waiting to be applied to the film's proper streaming release.

Perhaps these new images will give off a different vibe for those browsing Disney+, even if they've already seen the film. These slightly altered posters will do the trick and reign in a few new viewers now that the movie is more widely available.

Now that Black Widow is out, it's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Ring's turn to get on the streaming service. That film didn't have the luxury of having a Disney+ Premiere option, so when it does arrive, it will be the first time it is available for streaming anywhere.

As for when its arrival will happen? Disney recently revealed the film will arrive on Disney+ Day, which is happening on November 12.

Until then though, make sure to go see Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which is currently playing in theaters worldwide. Then make sure to start the hype train for Eternals, which is set to hit theaters on November 5 in just under a month's time.
