Shawn S. Lealos joined The Direct in 2025 as a writer. He focuses on all things comics, from Marvel to DC to the indies and everything in between. He has been reading comics since the 1970s, and the first movie he attended in theaters was Batman in 1989.
Shawn graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's in journalism and a minor in film and video studies. He has written for Chud, 411mania, Yahoo! Movies, CBR, Screen Rant, TheSportster, Renegade Cinema, and more. Shawn is also a major Stephen King fan, made a Dollar Baby short film, and published a book about the Dollar Babies called 'Dollar Deal.'
