Matthew Goldenberg, a.k.a. 'Axl Rosenberg,' is the co-founder of the popular heavy metal website MetalSucks and the co-author of Hellraisers: A Complete Visual History of Heavy Metal Mayhem (Race Point Press). A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, his work has also been featured on Collider, Decibel, Idolator, Raw Story, and Noisecreep. He also co-wrote the screenplay for the award-winning short film, What Cheer?, starring Richard Kind. Matthew launched a Substack for film criticism, Appetite for Deconstruction, in 2023.
