Daredevil: Born Again director Philip J Silvera is heavily teasing the surprising action scenes in Season 3 involving the returning Defenders characters. While Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 concluded on a somber note with Matt Murdock imprisoned after publicly exposing his identity as the titular vigilante, the upcoming third season will deliver a major payoff by showcasing the full reunion of the original Defenders. Following Jessica Jones' recurring role and Luke Cage's last-minute cameo in the Season 2 finale, Finn Jones' Iron Fist is also set to return in a significant capacity in Season 3. 

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Daredevil: Born Again action director Philip J Silvera confirmed that they are hard at work on Season 3, teasing that the action design for the upcoming season will heavily feature and be shaped by these returning Defenders characters: 

"I think everyone’s going to be surprised with the way we’re leaning into the return of certain characters.”

Marvel Studios gave Spider-Man and the Punisher a combined official logo ahead of their first big-screen meeting. The two heroes will share the screen in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth solo film for Tom Holland’s wall-crawler and a fresh start for Peter Parker after the world forgot he exists at the close of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Jon Bernthal returns as Frank Castle, the lethal vigilante known as the Punisher, who last suited up at the end of his Disney+ special, The Punisher: One Last Kill. Their pairing is one of the most interesting duos the studio put on screen, and the new logo hints at how tightly Marvel plans to bind them.

The combined logo shows the Punisher’s white skull formed entirely out of Spider-Man’s webbing, set against a black background. The skull’s eyes, nose, and long lower teeth all come through, yet every line is drawn from the thin, criss-crossing strands of a spider web. It is a sign that Frank Castle and Peter Parker will be closely linked in the movie, both as uneasy allies and as moral opposites.

Avengers: Doomsday's marketing campaign is ramping up. Of course, there's still no public trailer for the movie, as Marvel Studios has focused on pushing out footage for Spider-Man: Brand New Day ahead of its July 31 release. However, trailers aren't the only way to sell a film. Merchandise can peel back the curtain just as much, and Doomsday has a few interesting items that will be sitting on shelves soon.

Images of the first batch of Doomsday action figures have appeared online, revealing fresh looks at Doctor Doom and Captain America, among others. And while everyone is busy focusing on the shiny new characters, one original Avenger is flying under the radar: Thor.

Marvel Studios laid out a full official cast list for Avengers: Doomsday, and it confirms one of the largest ensembles the studio ever put together for a single film. The crossover, due in theaters on December 18, pulls heroes and villains from several corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including the X-Men and the Fantastic Four, all on a collision course with Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom. For a movie meant to close the era that Avengers: Endgame set up, though, the lineup comes with a few surprising omissions.

That official cast list, which Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and the studio rolled out as part of Disney's CinemaCon 2026 presentation in Las Vegas, leaves out seven of the biggest names from Avengers: Endgame. Each of the seven played a sizable part in the 2019 finale, some as core Avengers and one as the saga's central villain. Their absence from the Doomsday roster stands out because the new film is meant to push the Multiverse Saga toward its own ending, much the way Endgame capped the Infinity Saga.

The reveal arrived alongside a first look at footage of Robert Downey Jnr.'s Doctor Doom, which fans are itching to be made public. Several Endgame veterans did make the cut, including Chris Hemsworth's Thor and Chris Evans, who returns as Steve Rogers to continue the ending the finale gave him. The seven who did not, however, count among the most recognizable faces of the entire Infinity Saga, and their omission raises real questions about the direction the Russo brothers plan to take the story. 

A first look at one of the main villains coming to Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 has surfaced online, giving fans their clearest view yet of a character that the animated series has been building toward since its first season. The Marvel Animation show on Disney+ introduced Otto Octavius in its debut run as a disgruntled former Oscorp scientist who supplied super-villains with their costumes and weaponry, but kept him largely off the streets and out of the field. The Season 1 finale ended with Octavius locked up in his cell, sketching out the design for a set of mechanical arms that fans of the comics know all too well. This tease is now paying off in the form of an official new costume reveal.

New promo art for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 has revealed a first look at Doc Ock in his full villain attire, complete with the four mechanical tentacles he is best known for in the comics. The reveal came via official merch, showing Otto Octavius in a bodysuit with a metallic harness, and metal arms fanning out behind him with spider webs in the background. This design was featured on a grey shirt, much like the Ghost Spider merchandise for the same show. It is a more comic-accurate version of Doctor Octopus compared to the lab-coat scientist look the show gave him in Season 1. 

Disney+ is celebrating Pride Month 2026 by highlighting Marvel movies and shows that helped queer characters find a place in the superhero world. Marvel was slow to bring openly LGBTQIA+ heroes to the screen during its early run, often relying on a passing reference or a blink-and-you-miss-it moment. The studio's films and series look different today, and the streamer is using June to point fans toward the titles that helped drive that change.

For Pride Month 2026, the Disney+ Pride collection shines a light on four Marvel projects with meaningful LGBTQIA+ stories. Each title pushed queer representation forward in its own way, and the lineup gives fans a clear look at how Marvel grew more open to these stories over the past decade. Their impact is what led these four projects to earn a place in this year's celebration. 

Set photos of Spider-Man filming scenes for a mystery project in the United Kingdom surfaced online, fueling speculation that it could be for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Avengers: Secret Wars, or Avengers: Doomsday. Spider-Man: Brand New Day had been inching toward its July 31 release date when Tom Holland revealed in an April 2026 GQ interview that he was wrapping up last-minute additional reshoots in London. However, new set photos suggest Spider-Man-related filming in the UK may not be fully wrapped after all. The key question now is which project the web-slinger is suiting up for. 

A post on the Marvel Studios subreddit revealed that Spider-Man scenes are being filmed in Wembley Park, London, for an unknown project. MCU Film News on X shared that security on the ground said the scenes were for a film promo. 

Notably, Tom Holland appears not to be in the suit; it's likely a stunt double, but the costume is the same one from Spider-Man: Brand New Day. 

Tobey Maguire's Marvel comeback as Spider-Man in Avengers: Doomsday received a surprising update (and it's not something fans expected). While Marvel Studios has yet to make an official announcement about Maguire's return in Doomsday, rumors have become rampant about his inclusion in the MCU's Multiversal crossover. This came after insider Daniel Richtman claimed in November 2025 that Maguire's Spider-Man would appear in Avengers: Doomsday, strongly hinting that he would at least have a significant role in the 2026 Marvel movie. 

A new report from The Beyond Reporter posited that Tobey Maguire will have "more screen time" in Avengers: Doomsday, suggesting a larger-than-expected role in the MCU crossover event. 

This is not the update fans expected, because he is an unannounced character in the movie, and recent rumors suggested he would appear only in one of Doomsday's memorable sequences involving Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. 

Marvel revealed the name of Henry Cavill's surprise MCU character who appeared in 2024's Deadpool & Wolverine (and it makes a lot of sense). Deadpool & Wolverine chronicles the story of Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) traveling across the Multiverse searching for a suitable Wolverine Variant to help save his timeline after the death of his universe's Logan triggers its end. Along the way, Wade Wilson meets a wave of alternate Logans. While Hugh Jackman played most of them, the Multiversal montage led into one of the film's standout meta-cameos, featuring Henry Cavill as a Wolverine Variant.

A new Marvel Legends figure of Henry Cavill's Wolverine Variant (via Hasbro Pulse) confirmed the character's name as "Cavillrine," cementing it as the character's recognized moniker across the MCU Multiverse. While Deadpool coined the name on-screen as a fourth-wall-breaking joke, the figure's packaging and marketing now treat "Cavillrine" as the Variant's signature designation.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day's runtime has potentially been revealed, and it is bound to please MCU fans. Marvel Studios has faced criticism over many issues in the Multiverse Saga, particularly regarding some of its biggest sequel movies, such as Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Captain America: Brave New World, and The Marvels. Some have blamed below-average runtimes for pacing problems in recent MCU projects, a criticism that has also plagued some Disney+ shows. That has left fans hoping for the longest runtimes possible when it comes to Phase 6's final movies, including July's Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

According to a listing from Singapore's Shaw Theaters, Spider-Man: Brand New Day's runtime will be 2 hours, 25 minutes (145 minutes). A newer report sets the runtime even longer at 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes).

That runtime marks the fifth-highest of the MCU's Multiverse Saga so far, with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever remaining the highest at 2 hours, 41 minutes:

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2's climactic battle with Kingpin marked a major departure from Marvel Studios' TV endeavors over the last five years. The sophomore season continued Marvel Studios' revival of Netflix's Daredevil, and with it, the never-ending conflict between Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock and Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk. Born Again's latest chapter brought an end to Fisk's tenure as New York mayor, although his defeat was very different from that of previous MCU TV villains.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2's finale broke tradition for the MCU's latest Disney+ series, as the climactic clash with Vincent D'Onofrio's Mayor Wilson Fisk wasn't done by the Man Without Fear, but rather the people of New York.

In the culmination of a rebellion led by Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, a Daredevil mask-wearing resistance charged toward Fisk, many of whom were killed or severely injured in his desperate rampage as his final defeat loomed.

Like its four predecessors, Avengers: Doomsday is sure to place Earth's Mightiest Heroes at the forefront, given that they're part of the titular team. The X-Men are also sure to receive their fair share of love, since it's been quite a while since they appeared on the big screen. All that makes it easy to forget that the Fantastic Four may very well be Doomsday's most important group. After all, their rivalry with Doctor Doom in Marvel Comics is legendary.

Part of their disconnect is that Doom thinks Richards misuses his massive brain, choosing to give back rather than take control. Well, their beef is about to visit its biggest stage yet because a recent piece of Doomsday marketing teases Doom's real feelings about Richards in the MCU.

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures' Spider-Man: Brand New Day (aka Spider-Man 4) is flipping the script on the public perception toward Tom Holland's MCU webslinger. Spider-Man: Far From Home ended with Mysterio's dying act of exposing Peter Parker's identity as Spider-Man to the world, framing him as a murderer and terrorist. J. Jonah Jameson, the relentless host of The Daily Bugle, maximized Mysterio's revelation by further turning the public against him, branding Spider-Man a "web-headed war criminal." 

Following Jameson's campaign against Spider-Man, the backlash was intense, leading to protests, investigations, and personal attacks. The revelation didn't just unmask Spider-Man; framing him as a murderer ruined his life and that of those around him. 

What was once Peter's greatest strength, operating as a friendly neighborhood hero while maintaining a secret identity, became his undoing. This twist was ultimately resolved at the end of No Way Home when Peter Parker agreed to let Doctor Strange use a spell that erases knowledge of him from the world. 

The MCU is bringing back Kang the Conqueror with no Jonathan Majors in sight. Marvel Studios once charted the Multiverse Saga with Majors' Kang at the heart of it all, but he only racked up three appearances across two seasons of Loki and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. That was cut off when Majors was arrested, leading to his firing from the MCU and to Kang's replacement by Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom as the Avengers' next big bad. Since then, Kang hasn't been seen again in the MCU, especially as Ant-Man 3 established that all the conqueror's Variants are played by Majors. 

Marvel Animation recently debuted X-Men '97 Season 2's first trailer ahead of its Disney+ premiere on Wednesday, July 1. Beyond bringing back the familiar cast of X-Men superheroes, the animated series offered a glimpse of Rama-Tut, a Variant of Kang the Conqueror who will appear but not be played by Jonathan Majors.

Those familiar with Kang's history will be well aware that Rama-Tut is a guise he used to travel back in time and rule Ancient Egypt as a pharaoh. The Kang Variant has been entangled in stories involving X-Men '97 Season 2's villain, Apocalypse, before, even attempting to raise the first mutant as his heir. 

Spider-Man: Brand New Day's new promotional art revealed Ned Leeds' major upgrade that could prove crucial to Peter Parker's lone wolf storyline. The upcoming Tom Holland-led Spider-Man movie is set to bring back Jacob Batalon's Ned Leeds and Zendaya's MJ as a way to explore Peter Parker's emotional stakes in a post-No Way Home world. Spider-Man: Brand New Day's marketing has emphasized Ned's importance to the movie, laying the groundwork for the former best friend's reunion while also setting up subtle tension in Peter Parker's isolation. 

Official artwork for Spider-Man: Brand New Day (via X) revealed the first look at Ned's Spider Tracker app in the movie, confirming the character's massive upgrade because he was able to build the Spider Tracker by himself. 

The promo art shows a modern map interface, complete with real-time sighting alerts, live timers, terrain overlays, spider icons, and quick-access buttons for chats and archives. This user-friendly Spider Tracker cements how truly brilliant Ned is, even without Peter Parker's help. 

The next MCU Phase 6 movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is just around the corner, and fans will get to see a character in the film who is going to replace the Lizard in terms of their role and dynamic with Peter Parker. Any other year, Spider-Man: Brand New Day would be the biggest release of the year, but 2026 is a bit of an outlier since Avengers: Doomsday (which could be the biggest film of all time) is coming out in December. Still, fans are more than excited to see a big screen solo outing (the first of Phase 6) about Tom Holland's webslinger for the first time since 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, and based on what has been revealed about the upcoming flick, it is going to be an important title.

A new action figure for Mark Ruffalo's Hulk was recently listed on a French toy website called France Figurines, and it came with a bit of a description for what the character's role will be in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Fans have known for some time that Ruffalo would be in the Phase 6 film, and it has already been confirmed that he will be transforming into Savage Hulk at some point in the movie, but no one knew just what kind of character Bruce Banner would be, and how he would relate to Peter, especially since Banner does not know who Peter is, thanks to Doctor Strange's spell.

In the description for the Spider-Man: Brand New Day figure, it revealed that Bruce is going to use "an inhibitor that keeps him in human form." This inhibitor was previously revealed in the movie's first official trailer, and could be seen on Bruce's arm.

The latest trailer for Marvel Studios' upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film confirmed that there will be some huge differences between the upcoming movie and its predecessor, Avengers: Endgame. Fans all over the world are chomping at the bit to receive any new footage or just one little detail regarding Avengers: Doomsday. The movie is undoubtedly the biggest film of all time, and could end up breaking every box office record ever set.

The Direct was one of the outlets in attendance when Disney's official showcase at CinemaCon 2026 debuted the brand-new trailer for Doomsday. Theater owners and members of the press were allowed to view the trailer, but it was never publicly released. However, official descriptions of the footage was allowed, so die-hard fans have gotten a pretty good idea of what the trailer looked like without actually seeing it.

Joe and Anthony Russo, the Avengers: Doomsday directors who were also the directors of Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War (alongside two Captain America flicks), have made it a point to tell fans that Doomsday is very much a sequel to Endgame. The connection between the two MCU entries is so important that Marvel Studios will be re-releasing Endgame in theaters with new footage so that fans understand Doomsday is a direct continuation of what happened in the 2019 title.

Marvel Studios is gearing up for the next chapter of The Punisher, with Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle set to clash with Tom Holland's Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day this July. Before that, Marvel gave the character his first solo MCU project, The Punisher: One Last Kill, a Special Presentation that arrived on Disney+ as a quiet but important reset for one of the studio's most divisive figures.

One Last Kill ends with Frank being seen as a good man by the people of his New York neighborhood, a change to how the character has been largely perceived in MCU lore. This change also reframes who The Punisher is heading into Brand New Day. 

The 44-minute special, co-written by Bernthal and director Reinaldo Marcus Green, drops Frank into the Little Sicily neighborhood after he wiped out the Gnucci crime family. The vacuum that Castle created turned the area into a war zone, with thugs running wild in broad daylight. In the opening scene, an elderly man named Johnny is beaten by a street thug, Mickey, and his crew while they kill his dog Cammo in front of him.

Fans will finally receive X-Men '97 Season 2 in Summer 2026, and it was confirmed that the upcoming installment will include a historic main villain, which will break an 18-year-old MCU streak. X-Men '97 Season 1 was a pleasant surprise for many X-Men and MCU fans, as it was generally regarded as one of the best projects ever produced under Marvel Studios' leadership (for reference, it came from the Marvel Animation branch of the company). It has already been more than two years since the first season debuted, and it ended on a massive cliffhanger and introduced a terrifying villain.

At the end of X-Men '97 Season 1, the X-Men were scattered throughout different points in time. Some members were sent thousands of years into the past to ancient Egypt, where they encountered one of the most formidable villains in X-Men history: Apocalypse. The character's inclusion in the finale set up his role as the main antagonist for the show's second season, and Marvel Animation has since confirmed that will be the case.

Marvel Studios is eage to remind fans of its own Backrooms amid the success of A24's creepypasta horror movie. While the concept of the Backrooms has been around for some time, since the creepypasta emerged on 4chan in 2019, it has been all the rage lately since A24 took YouTuber Kane Pixels' lore to Hollywood. Backrooms has become a box-office juggernaut, becoming A24's highest-earner yet and even topping Disney's latest blockbuster, The Mandalorian & Grogu. 

As Backrooms remains the talk of the town, Marvel Entertainment took to X with the caption "liminal spacetime" and four pictures of its own version of the creepy space, the Time Variance Authority (TVA). The Backrooms' creepiness famously comes from its use of liminal spaces, endless transitional locations that draw their sinisterness from being vacant, uninhabited, and eerily familiar.
