The next show from Lucasfilm will be The Book of Boba Fett, which is set to premiere on Disney+ this December. It will take The Mandalorian's usual spot in the scheduling timeline, but that hasn't deterred the excitement of audiences around the world.

With the Disney Plus Day event having just come and gone, everything under the company's purview has been on fans' minds, including Star Wars. Sadly, that camp of fans was severely let down, with next to nothing released for any of their upcoming projects––aside from a year-old Obi-Wan featurette.

Thankfully, Fortnite has come in to save the day. While it's not new footage from any of the future shows like Obi-Wan or Andor, the folks at Epic Games have announced that everyone's favorite bounty hunter will be arriving in the game.

Fortnite Hires Boba Fett

On their Twitter page, Epic Game's Fortnite announced that Star Wars' Boba Fett, specifically from The Book of Boba Fett, will be arriving in the game.

In fact, it's even happening at a very specific time: "Boba Fett will be making his arrival on the Island December 24, 2021 at 7pm ET!"

The tweet also included the image seen below:

Boba Fett Arrives on the Island, and Maybe Fennec Shand Too?

It's hard to tell what exactly Epic Games means when they say Boba Fett is arriving on the island. However, it's probably safe to assume that he will be a playable skin for users.

On top of that, he could also literally be arriving on the island––as in getting his own point of interest and becoming an NPC somewhere on the map. This is what they did with The Mandalorian a few seasons back; most guest stars in the world of Fortnite end up doing some time in this manner.

While not mentioned in the wording of the social media post, it would seem that, based on the promo image they tweeted out, Fennec Shand will also arrive in the same manner as Boba.

Sadly, their addition to the games is quite a ways out, arriving five days before The Book of Boba Fett's December 29 release on Disney+. The wait is almost done; just over one month to go.
