Tom Hiddleston's Loki is all the rage these days. Marvel's third Disney+ outing has once again given the studio a hit—showcasing that Marvel Studios still churns out quality products. That's not to say they are all perfect, for the record.
Still, Loki has made some big moves recently. Not only has it recently broken viewership records, but it's also confirmed Tom Hiddlesotn's Loki as the first bisexual character in the MCU. This is not to mention that the God of Mischief's gender fluidity was recently addressed as well.
So, of course, being the biggest show in the world right now, Loki was bound to draw the attention of one of the biggest games ever: Fortnite. Still going strong, the colossally popular Battle Royale shooter is known for its collaborations with different IPs and even things like highly viewed streams and various sports icons.
It should come as no surprise that Loki is next in the list of characters to be looped into the gaming world.
LOKI & THE AVENGERS ARRIVING FOR FORTNITE
Epic Game's official Fortnite Twitter account revealed that Loki is coming to the game. The catch is that he and potentially other Loki-themed items will be exclusive to those that have a subscription to the Fortnite Crew. This is an additional service that requires a monthly subscription, giving players additional premium currency alongside other various rewards, such as the Loki costume.
An official picture of the upcoming skin was not released with the announcement. Instead, the picture attached to the Tweet only shows Loki's iconic horns alongside both the Fortnite and The Avengers logo.
Before referencing last month's Fortnite Crew, the Tweet mentioned that "a trickster snuck his way" into joining the fight:
"Looks like a trickster snuck his way through the portal and into the Fortnite Crew this July."
DOES LOKI EQUAL A VICTORY ROYALE?
This announcement might sound familiar, as The Direct reported on the initial teaser of Loki found in one of the first loading screens revealed for Fortnite's seventh season of its second chapter—yes, the game has been around for quite a while. However, this is the first time that Loki's inclusion has been officially mentioned.
It's worth noting that the image accompanying the announcement does not have the Loki show's logo, but instead that of the first Avengers film. So, this could mean the skin won't represent what fans have seen throughout the Tom Hiddleston-starring Loki so far, but instead, be a take on his iconic look from his 2012 battle against the Avengers.
While this probably won't happen, it would be great if the Loki skin came with various styles representing his many Variants popping up in Loki—such as Sylvie. It's unlikely due to the fact that some of his Variants, like Sylvie, would be entirely new character models instead of simply switching clothes.
However, one can still dream about its unlikely existence. Maybe those dreams will be strong enough to make it a reality. Maybe.
