The Marvel world has been abuzz in recent days thanks to news that shooting for the new Disney+ series Ms. Marvel is finally underway. While no specific plot details are known yet, fans have gotten a number of fantastic looks at both the newcomer Iman Vellani in action, along with teases of classic set locations straight from the comics.

Not much has been known about the supporting cast around Vellani as Kamala Khan other than Jasjit Williams and Saagar Shaikh being in talks for the roles of Bruno Carrelli and Aamir Khan in the show. However, na ew report suggests that talks may have fallen through for Williams...

NEWS

Murphy’s Multiverse is reporting that Matt Lintz has been cast as Bruno Carrelli in the Ms. Marvel series on Disney+. There have been no confirmations yet from Lintz, his representatives, or anyone from Marvel Studios. Lintz appeared alongside Vellani in recent set photos, which you can check out below:

WHAT THIS MEANS

Bruno Carrelli is one of Kamala Khan’s best friends and romantic interests from the comics, possessing a genius level intellect and developing what he calls “super snot.” This can be applied to cloth to allow it to spread and extend to great lengths, which will likely give him the chance to help Kamala adapt her supersuit when her stretchy powers arrive in the series.

As for Lintz, he has made a name for himself over the last couple of years in series like The Alienist and The Walking Dead. His experience on the small screen should set him up quite well on the MCU supporting roster as the franchise expands into television with Phase 4.

Kamala has a strong core group of friends along with her loving family, and Lintz's Carrelli should be a great addition to that support team. Ms. Marvel is currently shooting in Atlanta and will premiere on Disney+ in 2022.
