Marvel Studios is deep into preparation for multiple sequels releasing in 2022, with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever being the latest to begin production.

MCU stars like Winston Duke have shared how emotional this movie is expected to be as the team works to build on Wakanda's legacy for Phase 4 and beyond. While the specifics of that story are still unknown, the team is preparing to face this challenge without the services of their leading man: the late Chadwick Boseman.

After the actor's passing in August 2020, questions began to arise about how Marvel Studios would proceed with the sequel to Black Panther, especially considering how beloved Boseman's performance was. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed at Disney Investor Day that the role of T'Challa would not be recast and that the movie would work to pay tribute to Boseman in any way possible.

As filming begins on this highly anticipated sequel, a new set video has indicated the way Marvel may be honoring Boseman's memory.

@CreamOrScream took to Twitter to share that there is more to the leaked Black Panther: Wakanda Forever set video than what first meets the eye. The eagle-eyed fan noted that, inside the elegantly designed Wakanda room showcased in the video, five columns feature Wakandan text that pays tribute to King T'Challa.

Reddit user TheArmoredAvenger double-checked the translation and confirmed that the following translated message was written in tribute to the memory of Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa:

"REST IN POWER, KING TCHALLA, OUR HERO, TWAS AN HONOR, WAKANDA FOREVER"

T'CHALLA FOREVER

The cast and crew of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever have stated on multiple occasions that this movie is partially meant to honor the work Chadwick Boseman put into playing T'Challla for four years.

These columns honoring T'Challa should be only the first of many nods to the late actor, although it's still unknown whether his character will be killed off within the MCU as well.

This message seems to indicate that the Wakandan King will meet his demise, likely in the early stages of the movie, with his family and kingdom mourning the difficult loss. Nothing is known on how heavily this moment will play into the rest of the movie, but messages like the one on these columns will likely be seen scattered through other locations in Wakanda as well.

As Wakanda Forever progresses further along with its production schedule, more details will likely reveal themselves on other specific nods to Chadwick Boseman's memory. However, it's heartwarming to see messages like this coming so early, which proves the dedication from everyone involved to honor the late MCU star.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will release in theaters on July 8, 2022.
