LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga Character List

After years of waiting, fans are mere weeks away from getting their hands on LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The brick-based epic comes to gaming consoles around the world on April 5, but early copies of the title have leaked, resulting in hours of gameplay showing up online. TT Games has worked on this celebration of Star Wars for years, with the game originally being announced back in 2019.

While the UK-based studio has become known for its LEGO takes on popular franchises, The Skywalker Saga looks to be the biggest project ever from this development team

Not only does it bring together Episodes I-XI for gamers to run through, but it does so looking better than ever before and sporting a brand-new take on LEGO gameplay. Past titles from TT have been simple, yet fun platformers; meanwhile, the team's latest looks much more like a third-person action game more akin to Uncharted or Horizon: Zero Dawn

With The Skywalker Saga being the biggest LEGO game ever, that means the roster of playable characters will be even more expansive than ever before. And if a recent leak is to be believed, fans finally have their first look at a full list of who will be making an appearance.

Everyone Came Out To Play

TT Games has been no slouch when it comes to going deep on its LEGO character rosters, but this is something else entirely. If fans have ever wanted to play through their favorite Star Wars moments as the walking garbage can known as a Gonk Droid, they now can. Or how about taking down the Empire in Return of the Jedi as a young pod-race-loving Anakin? The option is there.

What is even more stunning than this expansive character list is the fact that it is appearing in this LEGO game. This isn't to say that the past LEGO titles were simple by any means, but they were not nearly as complex as what The Skywalker Saga is promising to be

Usually, when a game goes through the kind of visual and gameplay overhaul that this title has, it has to trim the fat somewhere. So looking at this, it would not have been all that surprising if TT Games had come out saying this time around they were going to have to significantly reduce the character count.

But somehow, the studio has found a way to make it work. While LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 may still edge out The Skywalker Saga by just a bit, the fact that they squeezed this many into a game this ambitiously different should impress.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga comes out on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on April 5.
