Marvel Studios' upcoming re-release of Avengers: Endgame has a new logo ahead of the movie's return to theaters. After Spider-Man: Brand New Day became the biggest movie of 2026 to date, Marvel is prepping for Avengers: Doomsday's long-awaited debut this December. To do that, the studio is also bringing Avengers: Endgame back to the big screen on September 25 with new material for fans to enjoy.
AMC Theatres revealed a new logo for the re-release of Marvel Studios' Avengers: Endgame, which is officially titled Avengers: Endgame Encore.
This logo uses the same purple Avengers logo as the original title card; below it, slanted, light-purple text shows the "Endgame Encore" part of the title, with the Avengers' "A" logo replacing the "A" in "Endgame."
This marks a major change from the original Endgame logo, though both use the same purple text for the "Avengers" part of the title. The "Endgame" portion of the original logo appears directly below the main "Avengers" title and uses gold lettering with a purple taper at the bottom.
The logo was also shown at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2026, but it looked much different than the final version. The text was changed slightly to be a slimmer font, and the color is a lighter share of purple than what attendees saw at SDCC.
Additionally, there is a bright purple light shining between the "Endgame" and "Encore" in the original logo, along with a glint of light in the "O." These lights are much more toned down in the final version, not shining as brightly as they did originally.
The last time Endgame was re-released was in late June 2019, about two months after it first opened in theaters. This version came with an introduction from co-director Anthony Russo and an unfinished deleted scene centered on Mark Ruffalo's Smart Hulk rescuing people from a burning building (including a fire chief played by Die Hard's Reginald VelJohnson). It also included a tribute to the late Stan Lee and a sneak peek at Spider-Man: Far From Home, which was released one week later.
Marvel Studios brings Endgame back to theaters on September 25, just under three months before Avengers: Doomsday opens on December 18. While this is not the first time an MCU movie has been re-released, this version will be the first in MCU history to feature new footage filmed after its initial release and used within the main story.
What To Expect in Avengers: Endgame Encore
As the Endgame Encore movie got a new logo, reports also revealed that the re-release will include four extra minutes of footage, bringing the total to 3 hours and 5 minutes. This adds to what is already the longest movie in MCU history, as the original 2019 film runs 3 hours and 1 minute. While it is unknown what this footage will include, directors Joe and Anthony Russo explained that it will directly tie the events of Endgame to what fans will see three months later in Doomsday.
This new footage will most likely focus on Downey's Doctor Doom, who could be watching the events of the Time Heist unfold later for the Avengers. Considering his disdain for the multiverse, seeing Iron Man, Captain America, and the rest of the team meddle with time to get the Infinity Stones will only add to his reasoning for wanting to destroy everything.
It also remains to be seen whether any of this footage will appear in a post-credits scene, as the original Endgame is one of only two MCU movies (the other being The Incredible Hulk) that do not include one. While four minutes may not seem like much in relation to an 181-minute movie, the fact that the Russos deemed it important enough to include retroactively is sure to build anticipation for what will be added to the narrative.
