Tom Hiddleston's Loki and the TVA will apparently be in a lot of trouble in Avengers: Doomsday, as Marvel unveiled a destroyed version of the TVA that will be featured in the upcoming movie, indicating that Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom is going to make his presence felt and stop at nothing to get what he wants. The hype around Avengers: Doomsday is only getting stronger by the hour, and if fans weren't already excited enough, Marvel's presence at Disney's D23 event teased a lot of what viewers can expect when the film hits theaters on December 18.
Marvel Studios built a TVA exhibit for D23 that fans were able to walk through, and it was meant to represent the way the TVA will look in Avengers: Doomsday. Notably, based on the photos of the exhibit that were shared by Marvel, as well as those in attendance, the TVA looks as though it has been completely wrecked by Doctor Doom.
Specifically, Marvel Entertainment shared a video via X of a full walkthrough of the TVA exhibit at D23. In the video, it was clear that the TVA was extremely damaged, making it look as though someone had come through and tried to destroy it.
For example, in some corners of the exhibit, giant pieces of stone covered the floor, and rubble was spread out everywhere.
Another shot from the video featured some filing cabinets in the TVA that were damaged as well. Specifically, some of the drawers were open, and some items on top of the cabinets had been knocked over.
Alongside the rubble and the disheveled nature of the rooms in the TVA exhibit, it is also worth noting that there were giant cracks in nearly all of the walls, implying that whatever happened there was catastrophic.
The nature of the TVA in the D23 exhibit looked entirely different from the clean, sleek way that it appeared in the Loki series, as well as in Deadpool & Wolverine.
Notably, in a video shared by @newrockstars via Instagram, someone in a TVA costume tried to tell everyone that nothing was wrong and that everything was "under control." Obviously, that person was a hired actor for the exhibit, trying to immerse guests.
While the TVA employee tried to reassure everyone that everything was fine, it is clear that Marvel used the TVA exhibit at D23 to tease that Doctor Doom will infiltrate the TVA at some point in Avengers: Doomsday. While Loki is a powerful being, and the TVA is more than capable of dealing with threats, the disheveled nature of the exhibit makes it seem as though they were not able to fend him off.
Notably, the TVA being in this state also teases that there will be a major action scene in Avengers: Doomsday between Hiddleston's Loki and Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom. Who will come out on top remains to be seen, but it doesn't look too good for the God of Stories.
Will Doctor Doom Defeat Tom Hiddleston's Loki in Avengers: Doomsday?
Marvel has made it pretty clear that Doctor Doom and Tom Hiddleston's Loki are going to face off at some point in Avengers: Doomsday. It has been reported that Loki will have an extremely important role in Doomsday and that he will be in Doom's sights, as Loki plays a major role in the Multiverse and the Incursions.
Taking all of that into consideration, as well as how the TVA looked destroyed in the TVA exhibit, it seems as though Loki could be in big trouble. Fans already had to watch Loki die at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, so it would be a bit strange for him to be killed by the major villain of an Avengers movie once again, but Marvel is teasing that that could happen.
Hiddleston has been portraying Loki for many years now and has spent a lot of time with the character. Loki Season 2 wrapped up his character arc and even put a nice little bow on top. So, in a way, it would make sense for Loki to be given an official ending, especially if it benefits the story.
Many fans would likely be upset if he were killed, but that would only make people hate Doom more, which would ultimately make him a more compelling villain.
