NEXT-GENERATION VISUALS ARE STARTING TO SHINE

While a number of things stick out from the new gameplay trailer for Kena: Bridge of Spirits, it's hard to dispute that the developers have aimed for a visually stunning title as a focus in their approach.

The release of the PlayStation 5 promised huge steps for the console player, from quicker loading times to increased storage capabilities, but the one thing that stuck out to most was the graphical capabilities.

PC players have long boasted about the huge advantage they have with an Xbox or PlayStation in terms of resolution and frame-rate, but the next-generation consoles set out to compete. We've seen titles such as Assassin's Creed: Valhalla and an upgrade to 2018's God Of War utilize these improvements, but Kena looks to take this one step further.

That isn't the only draw of the title, however, with developer Ember Lab promising an “ interesting and thought-provoking ” main storyline. The title looks to explore all aspects of Kena's life, from her tragic backstory involving her father, all the way to her current quest to help the deceased understand their difficulties. Players will be entertained by this upcoming exclusive, adding to PlayStation's growing list of stellar titles only available on their consoles.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is set to release on August 24, 2021, and it will be available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 from release.
