Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Season 3

Earlier in the year, Mediatonic made waves with the release of Fall Guys , a unique knockout-platformer inspired by the battle royale genre in which players compete through waves of puzzles and obstacle courses to be the last man standing.

As a part of the Game Awards showcase, Fall Guys developer Mediatonic revealed the first look at the upcoming season three update for the knockout-platformer, confirmed to release December 15, featuring a festive Winter theme.

Following the reveal of the festive themed season, Mediatonic discussed further details of what would come within the seasonal update with IGN . The team confirmed the update would bring with it: seven new levels, over 30 new cosmetics skins, with many more festive surprises to come. IGN will be exclusively revealing further content to come later in the week.

WHAT THIS MEANS

Since release, Fall Guys saw a fairly substantial drop-off in popularity from where it initially started due to burn out among the player base. The title rose to popularity quickly on Twitch and other streaming platforms. However, as it launched around the same time as Among Us and Call of Duty: Warzone , attention was sadly distracted from this innovative title.

A substantial update fueled with holiday cheer — and showcased at a globally seen awards event — may be exactly what Fall Guys needs to regain its popularity and begin to climb the ranks once again. The update will also see the title rebranded for the season as Fall Guys: Winter Knockout .

Fall Guys is available free-to-play now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
