To say the delay of Halo Infinite brought a dampener to the release of Microsoft's new consoles is an understatement. Branded as the' main launch title' for Xbox and Microsoft, fans were disappointed to hear the game had been delayed until sometime in 2021.
Whilst news from 343 Industries has been slow regarding their new release, an updated look into The Master Chief Collection has got long time supporters of the franchise talking once again, whilst also appealing to their new community of gamers.

Posting on the online forum site Halowaypoint.com, user 'snickerdoodle' from 343 Industries provided us with five new desktop wallpapers, all presented in 4K, to showcase the capability of The Master Chief Collection, with Halo 4 celebrating it's addition on PC.
The first image centers on the Chief's helmet, which is accompanied by imagery from Halo 4.
The next set of images showcases Master Chief's high level of detail in 4K glory. First, is his iconic Spartan helmet.
Next is a close up of the Chief's glove and gauntlet.
The fourth image shows the Chief shrouded in darkness as light shines from behind.
The final image displays the Chief's detailed shoulder armor.
We may have to wait a little longer for the release of Halo Infinite, however the addition of Halo 4 to The Master Chief Collection on PC shows that 343 Industries still continue to pump mountains of effort into the franchise. PC gamers can now experience all entries in the Halo series, and with a new release just round the corner, fans will hope that the delayed release will positively impact the next generation of Master Chief's journey.
