The Mandalorian Season 2 delivered a satisfying experience to many Star Wars fans, much in thanks to the arrival of several fan-favorite characters. The self-contained nature of the Jon Favreau-created show was praised during its debut season due to its grounded take on the franchise, but it was evident that the scope of the narrative will get bigger from that point.

As a result, Season 2 didn't waste time in reintroducing characters into the core storyline of the show with the likes of Temuera Morrison's Boba Fett and Katee Sackhoff's Bo-Katan playing a much larger role than expected. On top of that, Rosario Dawson made her Star Wars debut as the live-action version of Ahsoka Tano

Dawson's appearance as the former Jedi was monumental for The Mandalorian's narrative, as the character provided vital information about the backstory of The Child, ultimately leading to several twists and turns in Season 2's final episodes.

And now, several behind-the-scenes shots from “Chapter 13: The Jedi” have emerged, featuring a fascinating look at how Dawson became the fan-favorite Togruta.

During the premiere of Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, the hour-long documentary special provided a stockpile of never-before-seen moments of Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano on the set of Season 2.

George Lucas, the co-creator of the Ahsoka Tano character, is seen having a good laugh with Dawson while taking a break from filming.

These images should serve as a reminder of Dawson's action-packed debut during “Chapter 13” of The Mandalorian Season 2. The character's arrival in the live-action setting is a well-earned triumph for Dave Filoni and George Lucas, and it's fitting that the latter was present while filming the thrilling episode.

Following her debut, Dawson's future as Ahsoka is bright in the Disney+ era of Star Wars. It was previously confirmed that the character will star in her own spinoff show set within the events of The Mandalorian, and this should pave the way for more story opportunities along the way.

Given that, there's a good chance that Lucas will visit the set of Ahsoka in the near future, and he could very well provide more valuable insight about the character while filming.

Ahsoka served as a key piece in the animated branch of Star Wars, and it looks like that this role will carry over into the live-action storytelling pocket of the franchise. In a way, this is a good thing since the story of the character is far from over based on the epilogue scene from Star Wars Rebels

All in all, Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka has the potential to substantially change the franchise that George Lucas created.
