Fans are just days away from the cinematic event of the year as the theatrical release of Spider-Man: No Way Home moves ever closer. As Sony and Marvel Studios bring together two decades and three franchises of wall-crawler action for the ultimate crossover, the Multiverse blockbuster will have a jam-packed cast of heroes and villains from Doctor Strange to Doctor Octopus.

Tom Holland's Spider-Man will have plenty to deal with this time around, as villains begin appearing from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's web-slinging universes. Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin, Alfred Molina's Doc Ock, and Sandman will all return from Sam Raimi's world, while Lizard and Jamie Foxx's Electro join from Marc Webb's iteration.

But beyond that, moviegoers can look forward to seeing plenty of familiar MCU faces once again, with Doctor Strange, J. Jonah Jameson, and Peter's usual gang of Midtown High friends and teachers completing the cast.

As No Way Home nears its long-awaited release, marketing for the Multiverse blockbuster is in full swing - no pun intended - and a recent promo has seen the return of one surprising Homecoming character.

Homecoming Character Returns in Daily Bugle Promo

Spider-Man: Homecoming's Coach Wilson, played by actor Hannibal Buress, recently made his MCU return in a new video published on Sony's official Daily Bugle TikTok account:

The interview segment, titled "Burning Questions with Betty Brant," sees the gym teacher asked to comment on Peter Parker's "extraordinary athletic abilities." In the clip, Wilson jokingly noted that in a science-focussed school like Midtown High, even "two push-ups is extraordinary":

Betty: "So Peter Parker, you never noticed he had extraordinary athletic abilities?"

Coach: "I guess uh, it's a science school. So two push-ups is extraordinary athletic ability."

The Daily Bugle's latest video also features a brief appearance from J.K. Simmons' J. Jonah Jameson to recommend viewers switch to homeschooling, as it "worked wonders" for him:

Betty: "And here's J. Jonah Jameson with the last word."

JJJ: "Might be a good time for home school folks. Worked wonders for yours truly."

Buress' Coach Wilson will return in No Way Home, marking his first appearance since 2017's Homecoming after being left out of the globe-trotting antics of Far From Home.

Business as Usual in Midtown High School

Despite Peter Parker's Spider-Man identity reveal turning his life completely upside down, much of his time at Midtown High School appears to be continuing as normal. With the trailers having shown Holland's hero walking through the school, it will be interesting to see how Peter's friends and teachers react to his heroic alter ego.

Previous set photos have showcased a basketball scene featuring Zendaya's MJ and Jacob Batalon's Ned Leeds, although Holland's Parker was seemingly absent. Perhaps the wall-crawler will initially avoid returning to school out of fear of embarrassment while his friends continue to attend.

With Multiverse chaos expected to take up the bulk of No Way Home's plot, any Midtown High School shenanigans will likely fall early in the first act before Doctor Strange's magic becomes involved and disaster ensues.
